Merry Monday #90 & Paper Issues {Making a List!}

Happy Monday! Today we launch the brand new Merry Monday Blog!!!

Last week I announced that Merry Monday will have a blog of its own now...
click HERE to play along with us!!!

Our first challenge of the year is to make a Christmas cards using some Ribbon or Twine on it! Today I am also on the Paper Issues new issue and we are looking for LISTS!!!

Now I am not a scrapbooker but I immediately thought of SANTA and
how he is ALWAYS checking his lists!!!  So here is my project for both challenges!

I kept my card clean and simple, so I could easily mail it. This is a goal for me this year as the postage in Canada is going up to $1.00 per stamp! Yikes!!!

My bloggy pal, Amy Tsuruta gave me the sweetest Christmas gift this year and she put them into a glassine gift bag! I loved that idea, so I made a matching bag for my card and put the goodies she gave me into it. (Can't wait to use them!)

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Stampin' Up-Santa's List
Inks: Cherry Cobbler & Basic Black
Papers: SU! DSP in Cherry Cobbler, Cherry Cobbler, Black, White
Extras: May Arts Ribbon, Glassine Bag (SRM)

  1. Love the Santa image, Lesley! Great projects!
    Yikes, I forgot about postage going up. Will have to remember that when making my Christmas cards this year and only make more embellished ones for those that I hand deliver. :)

  3. Wonderful projects for this week's challenge, Lesley! Love how you used your ribbon because it really keeps it from bulking up when it comes to mailing. This is one goal i'm trying to work towards this year, less bulk! Postage is becoming outrageous! LOL Pretty paper & love the Santa stamp! :)

  5. Since most of my cards are mailed, I always take that into consideration and rarely use ribbon on my cards. The way you've used it makes it more mailable and such a good accent on the card.

  11. Only 85 cents if you buy your stamps in bulk. Still a ridiculous increase, but not as bad as a dollar. Beautiful card!

  12. Love this Lesley!! Postage rates are not gonna be nice now :( It was already costing an arm and a leg to post stuff, now we'll have to take out mortgages on our homes just to send out Christmas cards ;)
