POD, TSTR, TRR & MUSE {Merry & Bright}

Well...my spirits are getting to be very merry and bright! I thought I would make a wine bottle tag for a friend of mine at work. I LOVE Purple Onion Designs stamps...the images are adorable and so much fun to colour!

Isn't this wee elf so cute! I thought the sentiment was perfect for a bottle of vino! I am playing along with MUSE challenge...love those stripes and the layout! I am also playing along with the Shabby Tea Room and The Ribbon Reel again...love the colours and I made a tag!!

There is a sale on at Purple Onion Designs...don't miss out!

Seize the Sketch #7, MUSE & Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I am happy to share a card I made for the current Seize the Sketch Challenge and the current MUSE Challenge-card by Laurie Willison. I am also linking up with Simon Says Stamp-Anything Goes.

I was inspired by the pretty and CAS card over at MUSE. The green striped design, gave me an idea to stamp the one side of my panel with a chevron stamp...something different for me for sure! I also wanted to keep my card REALLY CAS...which meant some simple stamping. I had to resist the urge to add twine or pearls...but I kinda like it...and I am excited that I did something different!
I hope you liked it too!

MUSE {with deepest Sympathy}

This is my 2nd post for the day, if you are looking for my Whimsy and Stars Studio card, please CLICK HERE.

I absolutely loved the inspiration card over at MUSE by Laurie Willison.

I was inspired by:
  1. the ribbon
  2. the sketch
  3. the orange colour in the center of each of the yellow image
  4. the three images

I decided to ink up an older butterfly stamp by Stampin' Up. I kept my design clean and simple and TRIED to try my bow the same as Laurie. Bow tying is a challenge for me!! I also added some pearls to my butterflies, similar to Laurie's card.

MUSE, Artful Delight, CAS on a Sunday & City Crafter {Celebrate Your Day}

Thursday is here and I am excited to be playing along with the current MUSE Challenge. This week's inspiration card is gorgeous! I love the colouring! All week I have been looking at different stamps in my stash and this one from "There She Goes" Stamps jumped out at me! So I inked it up and got colouring! The sentiment comes from "Paper Sweeties".

There She Goes, MUSE and The Paper Players {Smile, live in the moment}

Yeah!! Stamping tonight and I played along with the Paper Players, There She Goes and MUSE. I wanted to create something clean and simple and I LOVED the colours at the Paper Players. Plus the challenge at There She Goes is Moving On which I can relate to. Myself and other teachers will be "moving on" to new schools and classrooms at the end of June and I know how stressful that can be...so I thought, "living in the moment" was probably a good way to approach moving...it can be pretty overwhelming.

Here is the MUSE inspiration card by Therese Calvird, I love it!!

Oh my goodness, it is adorable!! Love those sweet "ellies"!!! So I went to work and had to break into my newest stamps from There She Goes. I love the "Oh Snap" set by Torico. I have a confession to make, the washi tape went on to my card to cover my inky thumbprint, I was so upset when I got my inky mess on this CAS card! But Washi tape saved the day! Thank goodness!!

{Supplies Used}
Inks: Gumball Green, Midnight Muse and Raspberry Ripple
Papers: White, Kraft
Extras: Bella BLVD Washi, Baker's Twine, Embossing Folder (Stripes SU!) and Big Shot, Corner Rounder

Muse, Colour Q & Simon Says {Friends}

Wow, what a day!!! I was so excited to get home to craft! I absolutely LOVED the MUSE Challenge this week and just had to play along! Therese Calvird is the MUSE this week and I just adored her pretty, springy card! I was also intrigued by the Colour Q Challenge. I saw the two greens and thought, wow, this is a cool colour combo! So I went to work.

I also am linking up my card to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge "A Bit of Green". I used a Penny Black sentiment that I have had for years and stamped it onto a MFT label die.

Paper Smooches, Ribbon Carousel and MUSE {You Make My Heart Melt}

This week on the MUSE Card Making Club is some amazing inspiration that got my brain whirling! I love the sample card made by Marion Vagg. It has lots of pattern and colour, and so I went to work! The challenge over at Paper Smooches is to make a card based on 4 colours...I have added the challenge graphic below.

 {Supplies Used}
Stamps: Warm Hearts set by Paper Smooches
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black
Papers: Snap by Simple Stories, Seen & Noted by Pebbles
Extras: Spellbinders Heart Dies, Button, Ribbon from Ribbon Carousel

I pulled out my Warm Hearts set by Paper Smooches and used the sentiment from it, I just love the font! Then I looked through my scraps and found some in the challenge colours!! I added 3 different layers of scraps inside my card and made my sentiment a focal point. Marion's MUSE card was a true inspiration. I also wanted to play along with the Ribbon Carousel and their Love is in the Air Challenge.

Seize the Birthday #6 {Ribbit} and MUSE

The last week FLEW by!!! Can you believe we are already halfway through February!! ACK! Yep, time waits for no one!! This week at Seize the Birthday, we have the same sketch as last week but we are making Masculine cards with it! So come on over and join us!!! Who doesn't need some manly birthday cards for their stash!

I loved the sweet set that Alison sent to me from The Alley Way Stamps! I used the cute froggie and used the ribbit sentiment as my Happy Birthday hello!!! The set I used is called Kid and Caboodle! So cute and perfect for my primary kiddos! I also wanted to play along with the current MUSE Challenge hosted by Jackie Rockwell. I was inspired by the fun colours and used them to make my card!! I also used lots of white accents on my card!! It was fun to make!

Yeah, this froggie looks PRETTY intense about his upcoming birthday!!! Don't forget, Alison is offering a prize from The Alley Way Stamps this week for our winner! Good luck!
