Merry Monday #36 {Christmas Blessings}

Welcome to another week at Merry Monday!  The idea behind this challenge is to get a head start on your Christmas cards!  Each week, I choose one Merry Monday Winner who will then be a Guest Designer for a future challenge!  So get out your Christmas supplies and let's get to work!

Lesley Croghan

This week I made a set of cards with a retired Stampin' Up set called "A Wish for Peace". I used Midnight Muse for the very first time!!! This card has a few layers but the look is clean and simple. I think going Monochromatic with the card made it easier to construct. I did used the new More Merry Messages set (LOVE IT!) and thought the sentiment worked well with the church image and the dove. My card base is white, which makes it easier because you do not need to add white paper to the inside.

The design team has come up with some gorgeous samples to get you in the spirit, so put on some holiday music and get crafting! Happy stamping!

Freshly Made Sketches #41-A Sketch from Cindy Hall

This week at Freshly Made Sketches , the talented Cindy Hall has an amazing sketch that I think is SO versatile! The design team has created such a variety of cards with her awesome sketch! I decided to create an A2 card with her sketch, instead of square and inked up ANOTHER new stamp called "Star Tree" which is a single stamp, affordable and it stamps SO nicely!

{Stampin' Up Supplies Used}
Stamps: Star Tree, Hostess Set (long retired by my favourite!)
Inks: Raspberry Ripple and Island Indigo
Papers: Raspberry Ripple, White and Island Indigo DSP
Extras: Oval Punches

Freshly Made Sketch #40-{Thinking of You}

Happy Wednesday blogging friends. The past few days I have been battling a headache/tummy ache thing...unsure of what it is but hoping it will go away soon. This week I am the hostess at Freshly Made Sketches and I have a simple but hopefully enjoyable sketch for you to try! I went with the new In Colours using Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple combined with So Saffron. The embossed background was created with my new Chevron Embossing Folder and the sentiment is also new!!! That set is called "Sweet Essentials" which is a lovely sentiment set which stamps so nicely! The stamp set I used to create the flowers is called Summer Silhouettes and I can see will be a fast favourite for me!

{Stampin' Up Supplies Used on this Card}
Stamps: Sweet Essentials, Summer Silhouettes
Inks: Gumball GreenRaspberry Ripple and So Saffron
Papers: Be of Good Cheer Designer Paper, Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White
Extras: Chevron Embossing Folder, White Organza Ribbon

I have reopened my online Stampin' Up Store...to visit my online store to purchase any of the above materials I used, please CLICK HERE. I am a Canadian Stampin' Up demonstrator.

Cardabilities #57- {Season's Greetings}

This week at Cardabilities, Karan has created a fascinating sketch, one that I love! I was going to add some apples and do a teacher thank you but in the end, snowflakes won out as I wanted to use some of the new In Colours "Gumball Green" and "Raspberry Ripple". My card is very simple...I used the cute snowflake from the "Jolly Bingo Bits" stamp set. I think you could use any of those teeny stamps for this sketch!

I hope you get the chance to join us at Cardabilities this week!

Paper Players Theme Challenge #98, Just US Girls and Dynamic Duos

Sunday! It is time for the Paper Players Challenge! This week our hostess is Jaydee and she has challenged us to make a card representing Summer! Summer means sailing to me, being on the water enjoying fishing and soaking up the sun (with sunscreen on of course!)

I decided to use the colours at Dynamic Duos this week and the sketch at Just US Girls to create a masculine card for my father in-law, who loves sailing with us!

We hope that you will join the Paper Players Challenge this week!  Please be sure to visit the other DT Members to see their wonderful creations!

Freshly Made Sketches #36 {A Sketch from Tui}

These next few weeks you will be seeing less of me on my blog as I have the opportunity to work with a children's chorus in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat". I will be sitting and teaching them songs rather than sitting and making cards! But it is only until June 15th and I will be back more regularly after that!

This week I have my cards ready for all my challenges starting with Freshly Made Sketches! We have a fabulous sketch from lovely Tui Nathan and I was excited to break into the new IN Colour pack and to use the new Ink Pads! I used Raspberry Ripple, and I love it! Those new ink pads are amazing, and I will be buying up some new ones for the other colours too.
