I made this card for my very best friend who is going through a difficult time. She is the best and I wanted to make her something special. This card was inspired by the Curtain Call Colour Challenge Act 19 which uses Razzleberry, Bashful Blue, Pink and Vanilla. The funny thing is, my best friend is a Stage Manager, so this challenge card is so perfectly suited for her! This card measures 5x5" and uses the "24-7" stamp set. I inked up the Brocade Stamp in this set using the Bashful Blue Ink and then using a Sponge to ink up the edges of the stamp in Rich Razzleberry. This created a two-toned effect on the Vanilla Cardstock. I stamped the "French Script" BG stamp on the Pink DSP from the Sweet Pea DSP Pack. The Flower is from the Vintage Vogue set. everything is sponged and distressed a bit for added interest. I added some soft pink gem stones I had kicking around. I finished off the inside with the same technique of duel colour on one stamp and used the Vintage Vogue sentiment.

Way to go Tracy! I love them both! She used that cute little set called "Chic Boutique" and "French Script" Background stamp. Love the colours too!! Diva Coffee Break #166-Colour Challenge
This card was made for the current Diva Challenge to use Pale Plum, Rich Razzleberry and Certainly Celery. I used the Very Vintage Wheel and the new scallop trim border. Everything is sponged and layered. The flower was created from using the 5 Petal Flower Punch (109041). I got the idea from my blogging friend Jaydee. This is one of the cards I am teaching at my card class tomorrow night. I am teaching my group how to make paper flowers using the punches.

Colour Throwdown #81 and a Question
Here I go! A post during the week! I am trying to keep up with challenges but this week at work has been busy and I must admit, I am pooped! Here is my submission for the current Colour Throwdown to use Pink, Chocolate and Olive. I inked up my Baroque Motifs set, I haven't used that set since Christmas!! It is inked in Olive and the little flowers are in Rose Red. The Paper Flower is created with the new Sweet Pea Designer Paper. It is so pretty! I used some Rose Red ribbon for the bottom of the card to tie it all together. Of course I used the corner trim punch, I love it! Now for my question, what is your favourite SU! stamp set and why do you like it?
Thanks!
Lesley ;)

Crazy for Challenges and Curtain Call Colour Challenge
This card was made for the current Crazy for Challenges Sketch Challenge and Stacey's current Curtain Call Colour Challenge. I have been looking for a reason to use my new "Beary Best Friends" Stamp set...I just orderd the matching word stamp set for this set and I am so excited about it! For now, I used my "Short and Sweet" set for the sentiment. The DSP is from the Sweet Pea Pack and also from the Pawsitively Prints Pack which is supposed to go with the Bear Set. I used my new Button Sizzlit to make the buttons on the side and used some white craft ink to draw some lines on the buttons to make it look like I had sewn them with thread. His little outfit is paper pieced with the DSP.The inside of the card was finished as well. I love the Scallop Trim Border Punch! I added a button on the inside too!

Diva Coffee Break Design Sketch Challenge #165
I made this card for the Diva Coffee Break Sketch Challenge. I am obviously really into the Real Red this weekend! I wanted to make a card for my friend, who is such a good pal and fellow stamper. We talk "stamping" all the time and I enjoy our lengthy conversations about all that SU! has to offer!!! I inked up my Eastern Blooms set and my Teeny Tiny Wishes Set. I was on a roll and made another card with the same colours. I did a 3 3/4" square again with the scallop trim border punch. Then I inked up the "For All You Do" stamp set once again...I love that set. Used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig on both cards to help with perfect placement of the flowers. Thanks for stopping by!

Colour Throwdown and Stampin' Royalty
This card was made for the current Colour Throwdown #80 to use Really Rust, Light Green and Burgundy. I am all out of Burgundy Paper and decided to use the ink to it's full advantage. My card measures 4 1/4"x4 1/4". I cut my Sage scalloped square to be 3 3/4"x3 3/4" and then used the corner scallop trim punch and the scallop trim border. Then the Rust mat is 3 1/4" squared and the Vanilla front is 3x3". I stamped the Upsy Daisy flower stamp in Burgundy first and lined it up with the Stamp-a-ma-jig and stamped over the image again with Really Rust ink. The sentiment is stamped in Burgundy. I tied a little piece of Sage 1/4" grosgrain ribbon to one of the scallops along the trim for added interest. I did the front square off centre, for visual interest. I thought the colours were perfect for a masculine card. The current Stampin' Royalty Challenge is to make a Masculine Card!! So I decided to double up on my challenges tonight!

Curtain Call Colour Challenge and Saturday Spotlight
Here is my Shabby Chic (heavy on the shabby, light on the chic) Card for Stacey's Colour Challenge to use Saffron, Mustard, Going Gray Chocolate and Vanilla...took me a while to figure this one out. I took a risk and distressed all the edges of my card...I cut out a sunflower and some leaves and popped them up! The sentiment is curved, there is crystal effects all over the sunflowers and the bee. I am adding this card to the 'Distressing Challenge" over at Saturday Spolight, it does meet their requirements!!! I lucked out that I made a distressed, messed card!! LOL!

The sentiment is from the SAB set called "Vintage Labels". The corners at the right side of the card are rounded. I scored every inch upwards...it is hard to see in the picture. I added ribbon and took it off..what way do you like better? Thanks for stopping by!

Of the Earth Trio
It is Friday! Hooray! I have been admiring some new sketch blogs and decided to play. I went to work creating three thank you cards with the same colours but different sketches. This was a personal challenge for me! I also wanted to use only two stamp sets: Of the Earth (a Hostess Level 1 Set) and Thank You Kindly (a SAB FREE set with a $65 purchase).
This card was made for the "Everything but the Kitchen Sink" Blog. The sketch was fun and I used a 41/4"x 41/4" card base. I used some of that awesome Organza Ribbon again...I love it! Finally used my Modern Label Punch. I just love this sweet bird image from the "Of the Earth" set.My second card is a sketch from the "Unscripted Sketches" Blog. A new challenge for me and I liked the simple sketch. I dry embossed the white background with my Perfect Details folder and the Big Shot. I used the Corner Rounder Punch to add some interest to the card. Wished I had tied Organza Ribbon around the middle panel!
This third card is a sketch from the OCC Sketch Blog. I decided to make a paper flower to go with this card. I love making those paper flowers. That is it for now...I may try some of those wonderful colour challenges out there tonight!

Masking Class
What a week! I have wanted to craft but have been so busy working...the time just flies by! My goal tonight after work is to make some cards and to catch up on some challenges. I need to get to the Colour Throwdown and the OCC sketch...they are both calling my name! LOL!
This first card was made at the Masking Class and uses the "For All You Do" Stamp set. We masked the flowers and then stamped over them with the French Script Background Stamp. The colours are Sage Shadow, Ruby Red and Basic Black. I also used the Stamp-a-ma-jig...very first time I have really used it and I can see why it is so great. What a difference lining up the sentiments and the images. It was really simple. Here is one of the cards we made at my Masking Class on Tuesday night. I used the Neighbourhood Stamp set that is FREE in the SAB Mini. I love this set!!! My colours are Orchid Opulence, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. Love that shiny satin ribbon! I am so happy that I ordered it in that colour. I paired the Neighbourhood set with the "Bella's Bloom" set which is so sweet and used the sentiment from it. The DSP is the Cottage Wall DSP.Thanks for stopping by! I sure hope I get to stamp this weekend. I have a lot of catching up to do on housework but I am sure I will be able to fit in a card or two!
Happy Stamping!

Happy Valentine's Day
Here are some of the bookmarks I made for my class. I teach grade 2/3 and tomorrow we are going to be having our Valentine's Party. I made one for each student with their name on it. I didn't show those ones due to privacy issues. Sure hope they like them!I am teaching a Masking Technique Class on Tuesday night and here is one of the cards we will be making. I just received a new order and I had to play with this gorgeous ribbon! It is the Satin Ribbon from the Mini Catalogue in the colour Old Olive. It ties beautifully! I also used my new to me "Cottage Wall" DSP. Wow...why didn't I order that earlier!
Off to spend the afternoon with my sweetie. We are going for a walk, to enjoy the sunshine.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Colour Throwdown #79 and Stampin' 411 Sketch #138
This card was made for two challenges. I LOVE the colour combo at Colour Throwdown this week. We had to use Blush Blossom, Sage Shadow and Riding Hood Red. I had to sub in Ruby Red for Riding Hood Red. Forgot how much I love Ruby Red Ink! Sage is one of my favourite colours!! The other Challenge is the Stampin' 411 Sketch Challenge. I have missed their deadline twice in the past few weeks and so I just HAD to make a card tonight and link it up! I just love their great sketches!I used my Fifth Avenue Florals Stamp set with the En Francais background stamp for the centre of the card. The sentiment is from "For All You Do". I wanted to try to stretch myself, I don't know if I stretched in the right way but I had fun playing! I added some of the pretty Organza ribbon as an accent above the sentiment.
I don't usually stamped on the card face and I did with a flower from my 5th Ave Set...scary for me...and I have been trying to "sponge" more and I like the softer look. Hard for me to do, because I love making cards with clean lines. I hope you are spending your weekend stamping. I am going to try!
Thanks for stopping by!

Reverse Emboss with the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder
I made this card to try a new technique that I will be teaching in one of my upcoming Technique Tuesday Classes. I used the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder and a sponge to create a pretty card front. I used both Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose Inks. The paper is from To The Nine's and the cardstock is Sage Shadow and Pretty in Pink.I used the sentiment from the Thoughts and Prayers set. I am just LOVING this pretty stamp set!

Back to Blogging
The past couple of weeks have been hectic with work, life and everything in between! One of the gals in my club, emailed me wondering if I was alright!!! She hadn't seen any fresh eye candy on the blog for a while! It was so sweet of her to email and to check up on me!! Thanks Trudy!
So I wanted to share my Stamper's 6 Club Project from last night. We had fun, using Mr. Big aka 'The Big Shot" and the Daisies#2 Die. I wanted to create a project to teach my club how to make an Easel Card. We also made a cute little treat holder called the "Diaper Fold Pouch". We filled up the little baggies in the pouch with some mini eggs. Yum!The inside of the card was stamped with the Happy Birthday Sentiment from the "Well Scripted" Set. I used the "For You" stamp from the Vintage Labels. I used the Scallop Trim Punch (FREE in the Sale-A-Bration Cattie) and some of that pretty "Sweet Pea" Designer Paper!
Thanks for stopping by! If you have any questions please email me!
