Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge & Curtain Call Challenge {Hello Friend}

Today I am sharing a card I made for two challenges; Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge-Best Friends and the Curtain Call Challenge-Girly. I have so many friends designing for Curtain Call, that I just HAD to join the fun!

I watercoloured the stamp set from Verve called Floral Notes and added some gold washi down the side of the pink designer paper. Then I stamped the bold sentiment from Winnie & Walter. A simple velum butterfly finished it off!

The Light Bulb Moment and a Card...and a personal note...

 The weekend is zooming by! Why? Slow down! I am a weekend crafter and so I cherish my Saturday and Sundays! I managed to get 6 cards made this weekend for various challenges. That felt good!

I had a light-bulb moment! I don't know about you but I am overwhelmed by all the stamps that are out there. There are so many I love and want to buy but I made myself re-organize my craft space and the stamps I already own...I used some clear covers from SugarPea Designs and I put all of my stamps away...I actually need another 100 pockets for my stamps...which just goes to show you how many stamps I actually have in my craft room!

Here are just some of my stamp sets...I love that I can see them all so easily and I actually put them away when I have finished using them! What a concept! Ha!

Since I have organized my stamps this way, my mojo has returned! I cannot believe how much I want to stamp! Funny! So today I got out a stamp set I purchased from Winne & Walter through Butterfly Reflections Ink and I got busy...watercolouring!

On a personal note...I have lost 55 lbs! I have been working hard at it...here I am in my craftroom! I am wearing my comfy clothes...thanks for stopping by!

Butterfly Reflections Ink {Guest Designer}-Hello Friend

Good morning stamping friends! Today I am happy to share my 2nd post as the November Guest at Butterfly Reflections Ink! This online store is fabulous because she has SO many awesome stamp companies in stock AND she offers flat rate shipping for stamp and die purchases! Needless to say, I am hooked!

I wanted to create a CAS one layer card and I did! But then I added a small strip of designer paper to the top of the card to "finish" it. I stamped the floral set from Altenew called Lacy Scrolls. It is SUCH a pretty set and I paired it with a sentiment set from Winnie & Walter called The Big, the Bold & the Happy set.

Thank you so much, Vanessa for having me on your team this month! I adore your store and your outstanding service. I think you are pretty great too!

Butterfly Reflections Ink {November Guest Designer}

Good morning stamping friends! Today I am happy to be the November Guest at Butterfly Reflections Ink! Butterfly Reflections Ink is an online stamp store! The owner is Vanessa. She is an inspiration to me! She has such passion for what she does and I love how consistent her service has been! I am pleasantly surprised when my order arrives in less than a week! SO great! Thanks, Vanessa!

I started ordering items from Vanessa when I found out how many stamp companies she carries!!! MFT, Avery Elle, Paper Smooches, WPLUS9, Winnie & Walter and SO on! I ordered these sets from her a while ago and I was inspired to make this card!

I used just some leaf images from the one set and watercoloured them with distress inks onto 140lb watercolour paper. I used my water pen. I kept the design simple and "skewed" the main panel. A couple of the leaves on the left were fussy cut and popped up with dimensionals.

Winnie & Walter, Butterfly Reflections Ink & Simon Says Stamp {Hello}

Another post from me! I am enjoying my tidy craft space and some fun National Scrapbooking Day challenges in blog land. I am a newbie to the Butterfly Reflections Ink Challenge, I am linking up to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and I am also playing with the Winnie & Walter Sketch Challenge.

I pulled out an old retired floral set from Stampin' Up and matched it with some pretty washi tape. Heat embossing the flowers in white and then watercolouring them with distress inks on watercolour paper was fun! I wanted to reflect the mood board challenge. I love the trend of these bright colours matched with gold and I wanted to give it a whirl!

National Scrapbooking Day Cards

Happy weekend! I am feeling accomplished as I managed to get crafty AND I cleaned up my craft room. It was a disaster. Here are two cards I made. One for the Viva la Verve Sketch Challenge and one for the Winnie & Walter mood board challenge. Both photos were taken with my phone and posted on Instagram. I wanted to try them on my blog to see how they looked!

The Mood Board Challenge at Winnie & Walter is so pretty and fun! I was immediately inspired to play with my distress inks and watercolour some embossed images from Verve. I am also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge-Anything Goes.

My second card also uses Verve stamps and it is for their first sketch of the month. I love clean lines and I decided to ink the flowers with a SU! marker and "huff" it. I like the effect and I hope you do too!
