Freshly Made Sketches #22-A Sketch by Jennifer Timko

Wednesday is here and another sketch at  Freshly Made Sketches! This week the talented and lovely Jennifer Timko is our hostess with the mostess and she has come up with a great sketch that can be blinged up or left clean and simple!

I decided to ink up an old favourite of mine, "Because I Care" from Stampin' Up. It was a hostess set and I loved it SO much! I also used the script stamp from "French Foliage" and the sentiment is from "My Friend". This card was inspired by two challenges, the colours at CR84FN and the Our Creative Corner Challenge which is the theme "Best Friend" and it must include a floral image. In order to achieve the two-toned look on my flower, I inked it with my Stampin' Write Markers.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: All SU!- Because I Care, My Friend, French Foliage
Inks: Lavender Lace, Old Olive, Basic Gray
Papers: Whisper White, Old Olive Marker, Lavender Lace Marker, Basic Gray for Sentiment
Tools: Crimper, Big Shot, Striped Embossing Folder (Sizzix)

We hope that you will join Freshly Made Sketches this week!  Please be sure to visit the other DT Members to see their wonderful creations!

Mojo Monday and Our Creative Corner

Wow, the weekend has flown by and I wanted to get in some card making time for me. I decided to play along with the Mojo Sketch Challenge and the Our Creative Corner.

When I first looked at the colours at Our Creative Corner I wasn't sure where to start but when I found the Mojo Sketch, the colours seemed to fall into place...at least I hope they did!  Here is my card, lots going on.  I hope you like it!  This sketch really pushed me out of my comfort zone.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Seeing Doubles-SR#26 and OCCSC#22

I am all finished school for the year, with all my report cards done and classes finished, I have had some time to "play" along with some challenge blogs.  I decided to create a Christmas Card using the OCC Sketch and Stampin' Royalty's challenge...Seeing Doubles.  I went for a CAS (Clean and Simple) look.
I wanted to use the new colour Cherry Cobbler, to show all my stampin' gals in my Stampers 6 group how gorgeous it is.  I LOVE this colour...I am excited to use it for Christmas Cards this year, I think I will be going traditional....red and green.  But this colour is not just red, it is a deep velvet red, it is SO perfect for Christmas.  I embossed the Always Artichoke layer with a Texturz Plate...it is difficult to see in this photo...maybe I have a better shot...no, not much better...
Both sets are in the new catalogue...I used Tree Trimmings (116722) and Christmas Greetings (115448).

Thanks for stopping by!  Remember there is only one day left to play our current Paper Players Challenge...to make an Easel Card...please click HERE for more info.

Smiles,
Lesley :)

Curtain Call Colour Challenge and OCC Sketch

I made this card for the current Curtain Call Colour Challenge to use Garden Green, Tempting Turquoise, Kraft, So Saffron and White. I decided to make a Tent Topper Card which I had yet to do!I stamped the flowers from "God's Beauty" and cut them out. Them popped them up on the "For All You Do Leaf". I wish I had left it with just two flowers, I may have to remake this card!!! The OCC Sketch Challenge was just a circle and they wanted us to take inspiration from that circle and that is what prompted me to make a tent topper card!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lesley :)

Colour Create and OCC Sketch Challenge #6

This card was made for the current OCC Sketch Challenge and the Colour Create Challenge to use Mint, Chocolate and Vanilla. I have made this card for my husband, it is our 3rd wedding anniversary on March 17th, St. Patty's Day! As soon as I saw the colours, I was inspired to make the card for him.I used the Finial Press embossing folder with the Big Shot. I inked up the flowers from the Vintage Vogue set and used the "Well Scripted" Set again. The edges of the main panel are sponged with Chocolate Chip. The inside is finished off as well...to make it all come together! Thanks for stopping by!

Smiles,
Lesley ;)
