Paper Smooches November Guest Designer

I am super excited to be Guest Designer for Paper Smooches for November! Wow! The November stamp and die release is amazing! Thank you, Kim for choosing me as a Guest this month.

Today I am sharing a CAS Christmas card and entering it into the Paper Smooches "Gold" Sparks Challenge! I stamped the leaf image in distress ink and then used my water pen to "colour" the images. The little red berries were created with a "button" stamp from Swanky Snow Dudes.

Paper Smooches November Guest Designer {Wish You Were Here}

Today I am super excited to be Guest Designer for Paper Smooches! Wow! The November stamp and die release is amazing! Thank you, Kim for choosing me as a Guest this month.

I drew a circle on a piece of paper with a pencil and then followed the circle with my leaf stamp. I removed the end of the leaf stamp by cutting it off.

Paper Smooches November Guest Designer {Thanks Friend}

Today I am super excited to be Guest Designer for Paper Smooches! Wow! The November stamp and die release is amazing! Thank you, Kim for choosing me as a Guest this month.

I used the new Natural Beauties stamp set and the matching

I stamped the floral images onto 140lb watercolour paper with black Ranger ink (it's waterproof). Then I "watercoloured" the images with some Distress Inks. The sentiment was gold embossed and then I added the bookplate die to make it stand out more. Then I painted and die cut the small birdie.

Paper Smooches & CAS(E) this Sketch {You Are Unique}

There's a fun challenge at Paper Smooches and it inspired me to watercolour! I took the leaf stamp from the Zoo Crew set (NBUS) and I inked it in the pattern of the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch. Then I coloured each leaf in a unique colour. The background was washed with water and then I dropped some china blue distress ink around it, to make a "watery" look. The sentiment comes from Swanky Snowdudes.

I let the ink go all over the card...haphazardly because being "unique" is about colouring outside of the lines! I hope you can see how I was inspired!

Merry Monday & Paper Smooches {Making Spirits Bright-One Cup at a Time}

Today we have a brand new challenge over at Merry Monday. We have a "hot beverage" theme and I was excited to ink up a Paper Smooches set called Warm Hearts.

Paper Smooches & Simon Says Stamp {From Our House to Yours}

Today I knew I wanted to play along with the Paper Smooches Sketch Challenge! Ever since I saw the sketch this week, my mind has been whirling with ideas! I decided to change the orientation of the sketch, to fit the little houses in the Bitty Bungalows stamp set.

Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog

I knew I wanted to create a whimsical feel to the card and decided to go with a winter theme. I coloured each house with Copic markers. I am also linking this to the Simon Says Stamp "Anything Goes Challenge".

Paper Smooches {Floral Thanks}

Hello stampy friends...so sorry...I have been a poor card maker of late. Just no time to play these days. School is winding down which means busy days for me..."end of year" work keeps piling up and I have been working like a mad woman trying to keep up! I am looking forward to my summer break.

Tonight I managed to get into bed at 8:30 but then my brain would not shut off so I decided to make a card. Colouring seemed mindless and I feel much more relaxed now...it is not perfect but it was fun!

The Challenge #37 {A Sketch and a new Featured Designer!}

It is is the start of a brand new month and we a sketch for you to try! Feel free to change the shapes and make the sketch your own! I sure did, using only three "flags" out of the side of my oval. I also changed the orientation of my oval...so feel free to have fun with the sketch! I used a floral stamp set from Paper Smooches and the sentiment comes from WPlus9 both sets were bought at Butterfly Relfections Ink.

This month we are thrilled to have Karolyn Loncon as our Featured Designer!

Hello! My name is Karolyn Loncon.  I'm a retired Legal Assistant, married to Garry since 1980, and mom to Amy (married to Joe) and Ashley (married to Blake and the mother to Brecken, Brenner and Brynley.)  I’m blessed to live in Issaquah, Washington in the summer, and Chandler, Arizona in the winter. I love most paper crafts, but especially stamping and card-making.  The name of my blog is Paper Therapy.  I love to laugh, travel and play BINGO (don’t judge - LOL)! I started paper crafting in 2002 when my older daughter “abandoned” me to go to college.  I scrapbooked as my therapy.  Shortly thereafter, a friend invited me to a Stampin’ Up! party, and the rest is history.  Once I discovered stamping and card making, my need for instant gratification took over.  I haven’t touched a scrapbook since!  Ha!  I would say that my style is mostly clean and simple, although I throw in some fun and cute every now and then.  I’ve been fortunate to have many of my projects published in paper crafting magazines.  I also currently design projects for Avery Elle Stamps and My Favorite Things, and have recently enjoyed participating as one of the Guest Artists for the Online Card Classes.  So much fun!!

Welcome, Karolyn!

The design team have created some inspiration to get you in the crafting mood! Come and join us! Our weekly winner will be our next Guest Designer! So come and join the fun!
