The Light Bulb Moment and a Card...and a personal note...

 The weekend is zooming by! Why? Slow down! I am a weekend crafter and so I cherish my Saturday and Sundays! I managed to get 6 cards made this weekend for various challenges. That felt good!

I had a light-bulb moment! I don't know about you but I am overwhelmed by all the stamps that are out there. There are so many I love and want to buy but I made myself re-organize my craft space and the stamps I already own...I used some clear covers from SugarPea Designs and I put all of my stamps away...I actually need another 100 pockets for my stamps...which just goes to show you how many stamps I actually have in my craft room!

Here are just some of my stamp sets...I love that I can see them all so easily and I actually put them away when I have finished using them! What a concept! Ha!

Since I have organized my stamps this way, my mojo has returned! I cannot believe how much I want to stamp! Funny! So today I got out a stamp set I purchased from Winne & Walter through Butterfly Reflections Ink and I got busy...watercolouring!

On a personal note...I have lost 55 lbs! I have been working hard at it...here I am in my craftroom! I am wearing my comfy clothes...thanks for stopping by!

Craftroom Clean Up (with photos) and Viva la Verve {Thank You}

What a great weekend. I had a super time with some good friends yesterday! It was nice to hang out and connect. I ate WAY too much food! I am STILL full. I think I will be digesting all day today. Boy, it was yummy! I have been stamping up a storm this morning. It feels so good to have my organized room back. I carefully cleaned up after each card I made today. Yesterday I tackled the disaster of my craft space. It was bad...I took photos (nope, you are not seeing the floor) and I have a before/after reveal.

Yes I have a bottle of wine in my room...no I am not drinking it...it is there for tags and wine bottle photos for some projects I make! LOL! I cannot believe I am sharing the mess! Please no judging!

Everything was piled up and it was a complete disaster...is your room this bad full? My room gets like this when I am super busy but have design team commitments...anyway, an hour of hard work and major recycling, I went to work and got back my desk area. It feels amazing and my card making mojo returned!

I made a card for the current Viva la Verve Challenge. Love the sketch and colours!

I kept my card simple. I was excited to ink up some new Verve goodies! I LOVE sunflowers and these pretty blooms seemed to go well with the colour combo. I found some gingham paper in my stash too...I have had it for a LONG time...I found it when I cleaned up yesterday! It was meant for this card I think!

Welcome to the Craftroom {Part 1}

Welcome to my new craft space...Part 1! This past month, I have been trying to pair down my craft supplies to make way for a new space. I have moved my craft room into our Guest room as we are going to be doing a reno on my old craft space. So this is just temporary but I love it!

My father in-law was living in our Guest Room and he put up these shelves for himself. When he moved out, he left them and wow, I love them! There is an electric heater on the floor below the shelves, so I couldn't use a traditional bookcase. But hubby is building me another bookcase from IKEA tonight, and it will sit beside these shelves and hold my inks and punches.

Feeling kinda crafty, I decided to make some tags for all of my stamps in these clear containers. I bought each container for $1.80 and that included the lid! Yippee! I made the labels on my computer, printed them out and then created a sweet little chevron background for each of them. These are all my wood stamps (gulp) and I have put them into categories ..Christmas, Sentiments, Background, etc. I took all my Stampin' Up wood block stamps out of their containers and mixed them up. Man, it felt good to get rid of all those little boxes. I am no longer a SU! demo, so I am not worried about what set each stamp belonged to.

At IKEA they have these magazine holders and I use them to store my paper. Some of them are old and need to be replaced! The papers are sorted by colour. So each magazine holder hold one block of colour.

This is one of my new desks. It will be the main desk where I craft. I will be able to grab all my supplies because they will be close at hand.

I am excited about my new space and I hope the rest of it will come together smoothly. This is just one corner!! I hope to be sharing the rest of the photos aka Part 2, very soon with you!

Off to make dinner for hubby...got to keep him fed, so he will finish the other furniture pieces!! LOL!
