Stamp-A-Holics Challenge #129

Today is a brand new Stamp-A-Holics Challenge...it is an inspiration challenge using this fabulous photo from Becky.

I loved the colours in this photo and went along with that as the basis for my card!  I used the All A Flutter Stamp from the mini-catalogue and the Favourite Thoughts set.  I used Early Espresso, Sahara Sand and Vanilla as my cardstock colours and then colour the Butterfly image with my Pretty in Pink marker to capture the pink on the shell.

This card took me 10 minutes to make...actually..the time was 9 minutes and 54 seconds to be exact!  I was racing to get it done!  My square in the middle mesaures 2 3/4" x 2 1/2".

Would you like to play along, please visit Carole'Anne's Blog called Stampin' Stress Away and link up your card, there are also other Design Team samples to look at!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp-A-Holics Challenge

This has been one hectic week with work and life.  I am a little late posting my Design Team creation for the Stamp-A-Holics...sorry ladies!!!  This week we are doing a 20 minute scrapbooking challenge!!  Here is the design from DT member Marisol!  I LURVE it!!!
I am notorious for spending HOURS on my scrapbook pages...mostly because I keep adding "stuff" to it.  This 20 minute deadline was good for me, it made my focus more and I really worked hard to try to make the deadline.  Did I succeed?  Keep reading...you will soon find out! LOL!
Here is good ol' Mr. Linky....smiling at me, he knows my scrapbooking fetish and knows I am always long winded when it comes to creating the "perfect" page!!!  Well I'll show him!  It is 10:11am and I am determined to be finished at 10:31am!!!  Here goes!
I got my supplies together...then I started...
I wanted to make a page for my husband Corey.  He lost his granny this year and she was such an important part of his life.  He also loves gardening and the many hummingbirds we have in our garden, so I tried to incorporate all of those elements into the page!
Here is the page, starting to come together.  I used my Big Shot to cut out the letters for Granny and then typed my journalling on the computer and printed it out on Whisper White Cardstock.  I wish I had My Digital Studio...it is on my list for July! Here is the final page all done ad here is my time!  25 minutes!!!  Not bad!!!!  Woo-hoo!!!

Thank you for stopping by!  Please visit Carole'Ann's blog by clicking HERE to see the other DT samples and to link up your page!
Here is my husband and Granny...she is greatly missed...

Stamp-A-Holics Inspiration Challenge and Stampin' 411 Sketch

It is time for another Stamp-A-Holics 10 minutes or less challenge!  This week we are challenging you to make a 10 minutes or less card using this inspiration picture provided by Design Team Member Nancy.  I loved the colours in this photo!  She has given us lots to play with here!
Here is Mr. Snappy...already to go!!!  He is timing me and I must tell you...he won...but I had fun making my card!  Here it is...I used this wonderful sketch from the Stampin' 411 Crew
My card is all neat and tidy, like the well made bed in the inspiration photo!  And the colours reminded me of sherbert, so I went with the new "Sweet Scoops" set!  Can you see the glitter on the sherbert?  I cut out each scoop and popped them up...yep...this is WAY past 10 minutes...hehehe!  I didn't realize until later, that I had put the ribbon in the wrong spot!  It has been a LONG week! :)
This card took me until 7:12pm to make...that is...hmmm....quick math here....32 minutes!!  But I had fun making it and that is all that matters!  I paired up the ice cream image with this sentiment because I always feel like I am "not" behaving well when eating ice cream!!! LOL!!!

We hope you play along with our Stamp-A-Holics Challenge this week.  To play along, please visit Carole'Anne's Blog found HERE to link up your creation!

Stamp-A-Holics #124 and Sketch'n'Colour #13

Hooray it is another week of the Stamp-A-Holics Challenge!!  This week we were given an awesome sketch by design team member Cynthia!  I love her clever sketch, it is open ended and so fun to play with!  Remember to play along we have three rules...

A card must be completed in 10 minutes
A scrapbook page in 20 minutes
A 3D item in 30 minutes

As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew that I had to use my new "Punched Posies" set from the Mini Summer Catalogue, it is the Hostess Level 2 set!  I also found a new challenge blog called "Sketch'n'Colour" and was intrigued by their great colour challenge this week!  So I decided to make a card!
Mr. Snappy, our phone and my watch dog for time, is all set at 7:05pm!  Mr. Snappy had to be convinced to play this week as I beat him last week...needless to say, it was difficult to get him to play!
I wanted to make a CAS (Clean and Simple) card! I cut all of my paper and had my inks ready to go, that took about 2 minutes!  Or so I thought!  My paper dimensions are: Pale Plum (A2 Size), Elegant Eggplant (3.75" x 5") and White (3.5" x 4.75").  Really simple!
And here is the finished product!  It took me a few stamping tries to get the flowers and the sentiment right where I wanted them!
But I am happy with the result...it was so out of my comfort zone to stamp the sentiment "askew" like this and directly onto the card front!
And here is Mr. Snappy looking SMUG!  I took 29 minutes to make this card! In my defense, I did have a quick phone call!!!  LOL!
Thanks for stopping by! It is now YOUR turn to play along.  Please visit Carole'Anne's blog to link up your creation and be sure to visit the other DT member's projects!

Supplies:
Stamps: Punches Posies, Charming, Favourite Thoughts
Paper: Whisper White, Pale Plum, Elegant Eggplant
Ink: So Saffron, Old Olive, Basic Black, Pale Plum, Elegant Eggplant
Extras: Clear Blocks A, C, E, H
Supplies: Elegant Eggplant 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon

Stamp-A-Holics Challenge #123

Another week has come and gone! I am back with another Stamp-A-Holics Challenge and this week we are challenging you to make a 10 minute card with the colours Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede and Whisper White.  I got the chance to choose the colours for this week!  I was so excited to use Suede!!  But then I had to sub in Kraft for Suede as my package from SU! didn't arrive in time for our challenge and so I had no Suede to play with!!  Ah!  The irony!  Oh well!
I went to the Clean and Simple Blog used the current Fall To Layout Challenge.  I changed the sketch a bit, I hope that it ok!!  I decided to use my White Craft Ink and my "Eastern Blooms" set.  I also used the sentiment from the set called "Bella's Bloom".  This was a super easy card to make and took me under the 10 minutes to make it.  No photos of Mr. Snappy tonight, he was too peeved that I won and he did not want a picture taken...hmm...sore loser! LOL!!!

Check out the rest of the Design Team's creations by visiting Carole'Anne's Blog and be sure to link up your creation there.  Hope you get the chance to play along with us this week! On a personal note, I am off to take a Card Workshop with our Design Team Leader Sandi McIver!!  She is offering an all day class in Sequim Washington on Saturday and I get to go!  Yahoo!!!  I will be taking my camera and hope to get some photos of the event!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp-A-Holics Challenge #122-3D Project

Thank you for dropping by my blog! For our current Stamp-A-Holics Challenge we are challenging you to create a 3D Item. There is only one catch! The 3D Item must be completed in 30 minutes!  I timed myself at 32 minutes tonight!  I wanted to try my Charming Set with some fun, bold colours!  I followed the directions found HERE for the 3D Hanging Treat Box on Splitcoast Stampers! It hangs on a Wine Bottle and it gets filled with goodies!
Here is Mr. Snappy...all ready to go!  It is 10:01pm...on Thursday night, last night to be exact! I have not had one night this week to work on this!!!  I have to get this done because I have to work in the wee hours...and teach my Grade 2/3 class!!
Here are my supplies...I am ready to go!
Following the first few steps gets me to this point!  I need to tape it together!!
My whole intention was to try something new...and I just couldn't get into it!  I made one of these hanging treat boxes for my Father's Day Club project this week and I loved how that turned out.  So I went with that idea again and made a little matching card this time.  The card fits in the treat box!!  The rose is a 3D rose I made with my Ornament Punch.  I thought I would add something to the photo to brighten up the shot!  Do you see the sheen on the projects?  I used Smooch Spritz in Vanilla Shimmer and I am in LOVE with that stuff!  Wow!  It really adds a fine shimmery sheen to a project!!
To get this all done, I forgot to photograph Mr. Snappy at the end of this project, so you will have to take my word that I spent 32 minutes on it!!!  Poor Mr. Snappy, he seemed quite vexed!

To play along this week, please visit Carole'Anne's Blog to find Mr. Linky!

Stamp-A-Holics #121 Inspiration Challenge, Stampin' Royalty, the Colour Throwdown and MY FIRST EVER BLOG CANDY!!!

Hello stampers!  Thank you for dropping by my blog!  For our Stamp-A-Holics Challenge, you are welcome to create either a Card, Scrapbook Page or a 3D Item.  There is only one catch!  A Card must be completed in 10 minutes, A Scrapbook Page must be completed in 20 minutes and A 3D Item must be completed in 30 minutes!
Today the Stamp-A-Holic Design Team have worked with this Inspiration Photo.  When I saw the photo, my eye was immediately drawn to the vibrant Turquoise, Pinks and Greens!  I saw the Colour Throwdown this week and remembered their colours Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss and Tempting Turquoise! Perfect!

I also managed to take pictures of my project throughout and I must tell you, I worked at a frantic pace!   I decided to make a 3D Project...over at the Stamping Royalty they are asking for "Anything but a Card".  SO I went with that challenge for my creation as well!  I have the timer all ready to go and I have named him Mr. Snappy...Okay...I have all my supplies ready....GO!
I had printed off the instructions to the Notecard Box from Splitcoast Stampers.  I quickly cut all the paper sizes I needed to make the card.  You can find the instructions HERE.  I scored all the paper and made the cuts as directed in the instructions.  I put my box together.  You will see the top soon!
I decided to use the Daisies #2 Die and the Big Shot to embellish the top of the box.  I was supposed to use Rose Red but I was all out of my Rose Red Cardstock!  Shock!  Horror!  So I subbed in Melon Mambo!  SO much for the best laid plans!
I added a Kiwi Kiss Corduroy Button and used some of the Hemp Twine to add some sweetness!  Can you see Mr. Snappy there?  You may have to click on the photo to check out my time at this point! I am 15 minutes in!!!  I used the "For You" sentiment from the "All Holidays" stamp set and inked it up with Tempting Turquoise!  I wanted to be sure to use all the colours from the Colour Throwdown!
Then I set about making four little 3x3 notecards to match!  I cut each Whisper White Card to be 3x6" and scored the card at 3".  Then I cut out the smallest daisy from the die and added the smallest Kiwi Brads to them.  They are so little and sweet!
Here is Mr. Snappy!  I did it!!  I did work at a frantic pace and made sure I had all my supplies in front of me!
And here is the finished Project!

Now for my BLOG CANDY!   This is open to all crafty bloggers!  I would like to offer the chance to win the "Bouquet Bunch" Clear Mount Set on page 21 in the new Summer Mini.  I will pay the taxes and shipping on the "Bouquet Bunch" set.   If the winner already has this set, they will be able to choose another item for the same amount of $14.95.

10 Minute or Less Challenge #119-A Sketch

It's Friday and that means it is time for the "10 Minutes or Less" Challenge over on Carole'Anne's Blog.  This week we were given a sketch.  I decided to pair it up with the pretty colour combo over at Stacey's Curtain Call Colour Challenge which was to use Crushed Curry, Going Gray, Basic Gray and White.  Once again I inked up my new "Elements of Style" Set.  I stamped the main flowers in Mustard and then inked up the swirly stamp in Going Gray, stamping over top of the yellow flowers.  The entire front panel was then put through the Big Shot with the Texturz Plates to add some detail.  I cut out the Hummingbird and popped it up on a dimensional.  I worked fast and had all my supplies and pieces on the table ready to go before I started.  I still didn't make it in 10 minutes but I was quicker this week!  I was in the 20 minute realm!!!
Please stop by the "10 Minutes or Less" Challenge Blog and be sure to play along this week.  I am looking forward to seeing your creations.

10 Minutes or Less Challenge (My First DT Creation!)

This is my first Design Team member creation for the 10 Minutes or Less Challenge. I am so excited to be on this team! Here are the colours we are using for the challenge this week! Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, White and Rich Razzleberry. I love the rich, elegant colours!!
Here is what I used to create my card:
Stamps: Oval All (113790), Fifth Avenue Floral (113734)
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry
Designer Paper: To the Nines
Embellishments: Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Whisper White Craft Ink
Tools: Scallop Edge Border Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Heat Embossing Tool, Embossing Buddy

I chose the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set because it is on SALE for the month of April!!! Oh boy!!! It is 20% off the regular price, which is a fabulous deal! I stamped the Rose in Whisper White Craft Ink and embossed the image using my Heat Embossing Tool and White Embossing Powder. I NEVER, well, HARDLY EVER, emboss and I don't know why! I should do it more! I love the rose image in white...the image works well when it is embossed. I also finished off the inside of the card.
All you need to do is visit Carole'Anne's Blog and link up your card for the chance to win the Wings of Friendship stamp set!!  I can't wait to see what you create using these colours! I hope you get the chance to play along this week!

Thank you for stopping by!

Lesley :)
