Celebrating Stampin' on a Tuesday!

Just a quick post and then I am off to bed!  I wanted to play along with Try Stampin' on Tuesday and Stampin' Celebration!  I inked everything up with Crumb Cake and a sponge...oh yes, I love my crumb cake ink and a sponge!  The Stampin' Celebration has a great colour combo/inspiration...and I also took my cue from their photo to make my card a thank you card, and of course the leaves and flowers also caught my eye...

So I got out the Growing Green set...my new fav!  I inked up the flower in black onto textured crumb cake cardstock...cut it out and sponged it! The backgrounds are the En Francais and Sanded Background stamps.  I added a couple of pearls...I love pearls!

Friday Mashup and Stampin' Celebration

This week at the Friday Mashup and the Stampin' Celebration Challenges, they are asking for a little luck!!!  Four years ago, my husband and I were married on St. Patty's Day and I thought I should make a digital scrapbook page for these challenges using MDS (My Digital Studio).

I didn't have any digital Irish Stamps, so I decided to make my own shamrock using the heart punch and turn the hearts to make my own shamrock and then I added a Certainly Celery button to the centre of it!!!  This is the 2nd layout I have made with MDS!!  I love it!!!  My colours are Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke and Certainly Celery.  The journaling and the title are just done in Very Vanilla in the Pristina font.

Sure hope you get the chance to check out the Friday Mashup and the Stampin' Celebration Challenges this week!!

Card Patterns Sketch Challenge 96 and Stampin' Celebration 33

I found a great sketch at the Card Patterns Challenge Blog.  I made my card square and changed the circle on the sketch design to a square.  I made the edges around my square with my scallop corner and edge punches to match the edge around the circle in the sketch design.

I also wanted to play with the Stampin' Celebration Challenge Blog who gave these gorgeous photos for inspiration.  This is the first time I have played one of their challenges!!  I went with Red and Black as my main inspiration, I noticed a few of their designers went with Red and Black too.  I loved the elegance of the photos and tried to match that with my card style.

This is the card I created!!  I love this new flower die that will be coming out in January in the new mini-catalogue.  And the sentiment comes from a Hostess Level 3 set that I earned last year!  I inked it up in White Craft ink and then heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder to add some elegance.
