Christmas Cards All Year Round...

Christmas Cards All Year Round have a challenge to make 5 Christmas Cards this month...here are my submissions... Some of these are also all posted on my blog separately...but I thought this would be easier to view!

A Many Challenge Card...

This card was made for Splitcoast Stampers current Colour Challenge and Sketch Challenge. I love the soft colour combo of Pink, Sage and Light Gray! So pretty to work with! I found some old Bo Bunny DSP in the Soft Pink polka dot pattern and it was the focal point to my card. I used a simple A Muse Snowflake Stamp in Sage Shadow and added a pink pearl to the centre of it. Then, using Stickles, I added some glitter to the entire snowflake, filling it in. This glitter is for the current Creative Card Crew Challenge "All that Glitters"!

I also am submitting this card to the challenge blog called "Christmas Cards All Year Round". Their current challenge is to make 5 different christmas cards during the month of September.
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping,
Lesley :)

Flourishes "One Set, Two Looks", OCC-Monochromatic Mania, Clean & Simple FTL#61

Whew long title for these two cards! The first card was made using the Clean & Simple FTL#61. As soon as I saw the layout, I knew I wanted to use this Roses set from Flourishes! I challenged myself to cut pieces of the rose out from another stamped image of the rose and to pop it up on the rose stamped on the circle. It is difficult to see in the photo. The second card was inspired by OCC Challenge to use Monochromatic Colours. The colour I used was purple. I had orginally planned on doing the entire white card face in the French Script Stamp but I like the half and half card I created.
I thought Flourishes had a challenge on to make 2 different cards using the same set. I bought this set a while ago but had not had the chance or inspiration to ink it up! The Flourishes blog gave me that inspiration. I just LOVE this stamp set!

Lesley

CAS-Pile it On and Stamping 411

This card was made for the Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge and for the Pile It On Challenge which was to use Punches.
I used my Marvy Circle and Scalloped Circle for the main image designed by The Artful Stamper. SU!'s Oval and Scallop Oval Punches were used for the sentiment made by A Muse.
Thanks for stopping by!

Peace and Love (New Stamp Set)

I was out shopping for a new and exciting Christmas stamp to make our Christmas Cards for this year. To be honest, SU! did not offer many inspiring Christmas Sets this time around and so I felt I needed to look somewhere else.
I found a set made by Serendipity Stamps. I had never heard of that company before. Wow...am I impressed. I bought the 2 stamp set and fell in love with how well they stamped! It was amazing!! Just like buttah! So I made a set of 4 cards and packaged them up in these nifty clear boxes I found at a local art store. I am going to have to save up to purchase some more Serendipity Stamp Sets...they are gorgeous! The houses are all coloured with Copics and I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The roof tops are covered with Diamond Stickles...the colours of paper I used are Chocolate, Kraft and Ivory.

Christmas Card

This is a card I made tonight with my new supplies from Crafty Capers.

From Crafty Capers:
Cuttlebug Ornament Die
Swiss Dots Embossing CB Folder
Victoria Embossing CB Folder
Penny Black Snowflake
A Muse Sentiment-Christmas Wishes
SU! Supplies were:
White Craft Ink
White Embossing Powder
Heat Gun
Scallop Oval and Oval Punch

Tomorrow I want to try making it with new colours. This is a simple card and easy to reproduce! I just love that CB ornament die! The only thing I wish I had was some silver string to tie the ornament to, but I guess the black ribbon is ok!?Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Stamping!

Back Update!

Thank you to all you ladies for your sweet comments regarding my back! I am back at work now, teaching at an elementary school. I have been feeling much better than I did in the summer and have recently begun to make cards again, although not nearly as much as I would like to! So I am slowly getting back into it. My leg gets numb when I sit and stamp for too long, so I am just going with whatever time my back and leg decide to give me! LOL!!!

Hope all of you are well...happy stamping!

My Back

I have not been able to make cards lately, I have two bulging discs in my lower back and the pain has been awful. I have decided to take a break from card making and had to leave my design teams so that my body would have the best chance for recovery. This has been a difficult decision to make!

I still check out all the other blogs out there and hope to be crafting again soon. All of the beautiful cards I see out there make me want to craft!!

Happy stamping!

Smiles,
Lesley :)
