Inspired by All the Little Things {The Thief of Joy-A Personal Note}

Sunday already? Where does the time go? Lately I have been noticing that it is going much faster than normal! Summer is just around the corner and I really have a lot of big ideas and plans to accomplish before the end of the school year! Does anyone else ever feel like there is not enough time in the day!

Friday I came home from work to find such a wonderful "happy mail" email in my mailbox. Her kind and thoughtful words really boosted me.

Every once in a while, being a crafter can be intimidating. We try to not compare ourselves to other stampers or crafters but we do. We wish we could colour better or that we took better photographs. Do you know what I mean? It is hard to be happy with who we are...right now. We always want to be better.

This year I have been focusing on being the best me I can be and I am striving to compare myself to ME. No one else.  (Easier said than done...right?)

In the meantime, I am sharing another card that I made for the Inspired by All the Little Things challenge once again. This time I wanted to create something for the challenge that was not a floral. I was inspired by the colours and the watercoloured images in the graphic.

I stamped the images in distress ink and then used my waterpen to "smudge" the images. Then I added some blue watercolouring around the images, to tie them all together. I used a sentiment from Verve, and two retired Stampin' Up stamp sets.

As a final pop...I punched out one butterfly on vellum and one on white paper...then I added them with a glue dot over the butterfly on the card. My card panel is slightly skewed...just for some added interest.

I hope you have the chance to craft day and remember to find joy in your creativity!

Beautiful {MOJO, CTD & SSS}

A simple card for the current MOJO Sketch, the Color Throwdown and the Simon Says Stamp Challenges! Except, I remembered the sketch incorrectly and put the layout backward on my card! Ha! Oh well!!! I was totally inspired to play along and I could not wait to use this pretty script paper! But I played with the correct colours! Whew!

I had so much fun making this card!!! I am going back to make more cards tonight! I hope you are enjoying your evening of fun!

The Challenge #30 {A Colour Challenge}

Hello and welcome to another fun week at The Challenge! This week we are excited to bring you a Colour Challenge! Feel free to match the colours as closely as you can! You do not need to use Stampin' Up Colours. All product is welcome and we encourage you to combine this challenge with others. The main idea is to be inspired and to have fun!

I decided to create a Nautical card using some Verve and Stampin' Up stamps! Stamped the sentiment from Verve into a pretty circle design part of the Strong Anchor stamp set! I stamped the background image on the circle in Gray ink with the Stampin' Up set and stamped the ship in black ink. To finish off the card, I added some twine to the bottom. I have changed up my background of my card photos. I love the new look and I hope you do too. It is fun to play!

The design team have created some inspiration to get you in the crafting mood! Come and join us! Our weekly winner will be our next Guest Designer! So come and join the fun! We are thrilled to have Lea Lawson on our team this month as a Featured Designer and the lovely Linda Snodgrass as our Guest Designer this week! Nance Salkeld is off this week.

CASE this Sketch, FUSION & Colour Me {Thinking of You}

Felt good to craft tonight. I am working on reorganizing my craftroom...I have been neglecting my craft space and only crafting for design team deadlines. This means I craft quickly and do not have the time to tidy up after myself. Yep...an awful mess is in my craftroom...tomorrow I am tackling it!

I played along with a couple of challenges. Did you see that my FUSION team is working with the ladies over at CASE this Sketch? Cool hey! So I went to work and made a card using the sketch and I used the colours from Colour Me. I couldn't resist the pretty combo this week! It is one of my favourite colour palettes!

I was excited to use some new Stampin' Up goodies. I used a new pretty floral set called Flower Patch. It also has matching dies. I used the set to create the flower and leaves on my card. I wanted a smaller sentiment and so I used one from Verve. The pattern paper is also from Stampin' Up and new...it is called All Abloom.
