The Paper Players#264 {Kind Word Florals}

Today I am playing along with the lovely, Claire over at The Paper Players. I absolutely loved her amazing sketch and I decided I wanted to try using the new Avery Elle Christmas Florals set in a non-holiday way! So I made a thank you card using Fall colours.

I stamped all the flowers in different colours: Hello Honey, Cajun Craze, Tangelo Twist and Crisp Cantaloupe. Then I stamped the leaves in Sage Shadow. (all inks are SU!). Then I cut them out with the die set that matches the stamps and arranged them on the card to be the "circle" element on the card. The sentiment comes from Verve Stamps and is one of my favourites! I stamped it in Cajun Craze as well. The big square in the background is hard to see but it is Whisper White paper, embossed with the diagonal embossing folder. I used a strip of brown designer paper to "ground" the card. See my new little pumpkin? Found it at M's and for only a couple of dollars! I am so excited to make Fall cards!

MOJO Monday, The Paper Players, CASOLOGY &The Color Throwdown

Got my "CRAFT" on tonight! Yay! I made a quick and simple group of matching cards. Tomorrow is the start of my Spring Break and although I will miss my kiddos, I am tired and need a break! I will hopefully be crafting much more next week!

The first card I made is simple and for no challenges...it was a warm up card and for my stash!

I was inspired to play along with CASOLOGY and their "Blossom" Challenge. I inked up a fun new-to-me set from Verve called Poppy Birthday! I decided just to play with this new set and used the colours from The Color Throwdown. I just stamped the poppies up along the side of the card...and stamped the sentiment on the opposite side. I used Navy as my accent colour.

Then I decided to play along with Mojo Monday! Yay! I never get the chance to play during the week. I kept my design simple and clean. I stamped the bigger poppies and then popped them up on dimensionals. I kept the design simple. I used the The Color Throwdown colours again.

I am also linking this to the current Paper Players Challenge too. They are looking for CAS flowers.

SugarPea Designs & The Paper Players

Happy Monday! Todau I am thrilled to be sharing a card I made for the current SugarPea Designs Sketch Challenge! Wendy has a wonderful sketch and I took some liberties with it, so I could used this bigger image. I inked up the image and used my Copics to colour her. She is one of my favourite images from SugarPea Designs. She is from the set called Love You Bunches.

Store---Love-You-Bunches

That little puppy is super cute too. I need to make a card just with him. I used some scrap papers from my pile and then kept my card clean and simple. Hopefully it is simple enough for the Paper Players "CAS" Flower Challenge.

December 1st tomorrrow! Wow, where has the time gone!? This Fall has flown by and I am in "countdown" mode to Christmas. This year I must admit that I am feeling overwhelmed by the thought of decorating the tree, wrapping gifts to send away, finishing my Christmas cards and all of the family outings that are coming! Whew! It is always SO busy this time of year and I want to relax and enjoy! Do you have lots on your plate too?

Today I crafted! I wanted to play with the awesome new sketch at Viva la Verve. I had fun inking up the Bright Spirits stamp set again, I bought it for the beautiful sentiments in it. I love scripty, scrolled sentiments! They always appeal and are elegant to me. I love creating traditional and elegant, Christmas cards. I am also linking up at Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes Challenge. I am also playing along with The Paper Players and Jaydee's Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I used Pattern Paper, Embossed and Snowflake.

Paper Players, Colour Me & The Card Concept {So Kind of You}

Playing along with a few challenges. A quick and simple card...perfect for my stash. I was going through my craftroom this weekend and managed to get a lot of it reorganized. I always find that when I do that, I am more apt to craft! And craft I did. I managed to get quite a few of my design team projects done for SRM Stickers and then spent today playing along for fun. I just adored Jaydee's great sketch!

Merry Monday Christmas Card Club and meet November's Featured Designer!

Monday is here and with it comes a brand new Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge
We are also excited to welcome our Featured Designer for November, Linda Callahan!

[nashville+212-1.JPG]

Linda is a dear friend of mine. She is on my Freshly Made Sketches Design Team and she designs for Pals Paper Arts! Not only a talented designer, Linda is a retired school teacher (34 years) and a proud grandma! I am so happy to have her with us this month! Welcome, Linda.

This week we have a colour combo with a twist!

We are looking for a Christmas card
with Red, Aqua, White and Circles!!!

I decided to play along with the current Freshly Made Sketch, designed by Rita and the "critter" theme from Jaydee at the Paper Players! This was just the inspiration I needed for my new Purple Onion Designs stamps I wanted to ink up!

I used my Stampin' Up circle punches to create some "homes" for my little animals. I had so much fun colouring them with my Copics. I used a little heart, to stamp the sentiment and accent it with a small wooden snowflake.

I used the Purple Onion Designs stamps called Icicle, Snowy and Filbert.
You can find them HERE.

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Purple Onion Designs
Inks: Memento Black and Copics
Papers: MME, Kraft, Real Red, White and Pool Party
Extras: Twine, Wood Snowflake, Heart Dies

How to play with the Merry Monday Christmas Card Club:

1. Each week there will be a brand new challenge posted on Monday at 5am (PST).
2. The challenge will be either a theme, an inspiration photo, a sketch or a colour combo.
3. Each participant is encouraged to comment on 3 cards in the Gallery. (Who doesn't love comments!)
4. Have fun!
5. Follow the weekly challenge closely.

Welcome to our Guest Designer this week, Susan!! She won our challenge a couple of weeks ago! Would you like to be a Guest Designer? Be sure to play along, as our weekly winner is our next Guest Designer! Let's see what the team has created for the challenge!
