The Pink Elephant Monday Sketch Challenge {Happy Birthday} & The Sweet and Sassy Digi Challenge

Had the chance to play along with Lori's sweet sketch over at the Pink Elephant Monday Challenge! I love this sketch and can see myself using it time and again! It was a clean lined look that I love!!! It even challenged me to use more "embellishments" on my card, which I have been trying to do!

Wow, I used a bunch of different pattern papers on this card but I am happy with the look!! Now I need to go make some supper. I am actually just home from a long day and there is nothing like creating a card to help unwind!!

Seize the Birthday #4 {Birthday Cake}

It is a busy week, I am so proud that the musical I have been directing is opening on Friday! I have been unable to make cards or blog, and I am sorry I have not been commenting like I usually do! I have directed the show "Oklahoma" and it opens on Friday!!! The cast and crew I am working with is absolutely lovely and dedicated! It has been such a positive experience!!!

This week at Seize the Birthday, we are using the same sketch as last week to create a Masculine Birthday card! Lori Boyd is our sponsor and she has such cute images. I used a small birthday cake from one of her sweet sets and enlarged it, so it was the main focus on my card!

Seize the Birthday #2 {Masculine Birthday Card}

Wow! Our 2nd week at SEIZE THE BIRTHDAY! What an amazing first week! Thank you to all my blogging friends who came out and supported this new venture! This week we have the same sketch as last week except now, we need to create a MASCULINE birthday card!

Lori Boyd at By LORi Designs is our sponsor this week and this is the first time I have used one of her sweet images! I loved colouring this fella up! I will going to use some darker colours but the balloons we calling out Turquoise and Red to me!

Every layer is sponged with some Soft Suede ink from Stampin' Up! I used some Crumb Cake cardstock for the base of my card and did not add any embellishment to the inside, just stamped a simple sentiment inside. I added some faux stitching with my Sew Easy tool. I have had this tool for month and decided to break it open last night!
