February Paper Sweeties Stamp Release {Live, Love, Bloom}

Welcome to Day 2 of new goodies from Paper Sweeties! Time to share another "Sweet" set! I paired it up with the Teapot die (gasp! I love this die!) and went to work creating a "clean vintage" set of mini cards-size 2.5" x 4.25". I had some of this pretty designer paper on my desk from My Mind's Eye and I used the adorable new label stamp and some of the different sentiments in the center of each label on each card!

Of course I had to use some music not washi tape! Which means I can play along with the current Ribbon Carousel Challenge to use WASHI!

Come and join our hop to see what the
Paper Sweeties design team has put together for you!

TAWS, RCC & TMS {You're a Lifesaver}

Today I am sharing a card I made for a few of my favourite challenges. It has been lovely to get crafty this week and to just play for fun. I wanted to use one of these new doilies I bought at M's from Recollections.

I was inspired to play along with the following challenges:

The Alley Way Stamps (Be Inspired Challenge)

I love the colours in the inspiration photo and immediately thought of the sweet lighthouse stamp in the Tiny Treasures set and I paired it with the sentiment from Kit n' Caboodle.

Ribbon Carousel {Anything Goes} & CASE this Sketch

This is the last week to play along at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge!!! The challenge is Anything Goes!!! I wanted to play with my TAWS (The Alley Way Stamps) and get them inky, so I went in search of a fun sketch and found one at CASE this Sketch.

I wanted to cut into some new designer paper I picked up at a local craft store. It is a boy paper pad but terrific for any kind of birthday card too I think! It is by Echo Park. Love it! I also used some SRM Stickers to create the scalloped edge and for the sentiment! I love my SRM stickers!!!

Merry Christmas to all of my blogging friends! I wish you the best for the New Year!

Gasp! My life has been hectic with work...and I have to say; I am looking forward to my Christmas break.

So tonight I cleaned my craft space and lo n' behold...felt like crafting! Woot! So I decided to play along with a few of my favourite challenges...

Falling for You with "Brown" Snowflakes {Purple Onion Design Team}

Lately I have been trying "new" styles for me as a card maker and so I decided to play along with the CASology "brown" challenge this week. I was intrigued and went to work, creating a CAS snowflake card...with lots of brown? Antique? Old-Fashioned? Weird? Who knows, but I wanted to link up! I love the CASology challenge and I wish I could play along more often!

So here is my "brown" snowflake themed card! Yikes!

The main "snowflake stamped" panel measures 3 x 4". And then I added some burlap ribbon behind it. The "wood veneer" snowflakes come from my stash...but there are lots of great wood items at Paper Issues. I went to work and played along with a stamp set from Purple Onion Designs. It is called Vintage Snowflake Set by Paislee Press Designs.

I have a discount code for Paper Issues. Use the code Lesley13 to receive 20% off your order! Every bit helps! The challenge at Paper Issues is "Falling for You" and so I am using some "falling" snowflakes. I am also linking up to the current Ribbon Carousel-Holidays/Celebrations challenges.

Seize the Sketch #7 & The Ribbon Carousel {Just Because Gift Set}

Good morning!!! We have an awesome sketch by Jen Nelson this week at Seize the Sketch!! I loved working with it and I know you will too! I am also sharing this card for the current Ribbon Carousel Fall/Halloween Theme Challenge. Go link up!

This month's theme is Fall anHalloween!

The fabulous Mona Pendleton from My Favorite Things is sponsoring Seize the Sketch #7 and she provided the team with her beautiful stamps and dies. She is also providing this prize for our winner of Sketch #7. Woo-hoo! Just look at what you could win!

I got the opportunity to play with this beautiful set and I created a Fall themed "Just Because Gift Set". I wanted to use some burlap ribbon, some Fall colours and I took a more clean-lined approach to my card this week. It was nice to use some of my designer paper scraps too!

Mona Pendleton Designs products are a fun and versatile collection of stamps, dies and stencils that may be purchased at https://www.mftstamps.com/

Happy News to Share {Magical Wonder}!

 photo RCCrewwinter2013300.png

Well this has been such an exciting time for me as a designer during this last year and today I am thrilled to announce that I am the newest member of the Ribbon Carousel design team. I cannot tell you how surprised and delighted I was to receive the invite from Corinna. I think the challenges she hosts are a lot of fun and always so inviting!! Also, many of my good stamping pals are on the team, which makes it even more thrilling! Thank you so much, Corinna!

Stamping Supplies
Stamps: Delicate Doilies, Magical Season
Inks: Lucky Limeade (no Old Olive), Cherry Cobbler
Papers: Kraft, White, Cherry Cobbler, Season of Style Pad DSP
Extras: Large Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Burlap Ribbon

Today I want to share a card I made using some Stampin' Up goodies that have not seen ink in such a long time! I was inspired by the colour combo challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers to use Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand. I do not have any Sahara Sand, so I used some burlap ribbon and some kraft paper to "represent" my neutral.

Halloween Fun {Getting my Spooky on!}

If you are looking for my Whimsy and Stars Stamp release card, please CLICK HERE.

I won't lie. I do not usually make Halloween cards, in fact...very few in the last 4 years...maybe only a handful of cards in total but I am totally in the festive mood that is taking over blogland...yes, there is a Halloween "glow" in the blogging world!!!

I got out my newest purchase which was a 6x6 mini Halloween paper pad from My Mind's Eye. I LOVE the witches in the frames...oh so much fun!!! I used some SRM sticker goodness and added the spider and the sentiment below...I love how quick and easy those stickers are!!!

So I am playing along with a few challenges:
