The Challenge & I Slipped!

Happy Tuesday! Today was a SLIPPERY day and I had to go to work. We had a HUGE snowfall not typical of the area and today the snow and streets were like a sheet of ICE! Off I went to work and on my way out to my car this morning, I slipped on the top stair in front of my house and went zooooom to the bottom of the staircase. Wow. Talk about PAIN. I have a huge goose-egg on my left leg and a large welt across the middle of my back. Not a great start to my day! Argh! LOL!

Last night I managed to get crafty and created a simple gift set from the adorable Zoo Babies Stampin' Up stamp set I purchased in the Fall! LOVE how it stamps!!! It is pure cuteness! I used the fun colours over at Dynamic Duos...love them!

I got to thinking about the sketch I used to create the card and I realized how simple it was and that it could be interpreted in MANY different ways.

So here's THE CHALLENGE...

Dynamic Duos #77 & Purple Onion Designs!!!!

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge {Merriest Holiday Season}

Welcome to another week of the Merry Monday Christmas card Challenge. We hope you will join us and link up a Christmas card using the sketch above. This week I created another card with my Poinsettia die from Spellbinders. I love it. Before I lifted off the metal die from the cut paper, I used it as a stencil and inked the "veins" of the poinsettia and the leaf. I am playing along with the One Year Anniversary Challenge over at Dynamic Duos and chose Cherry Cobbler and my Choice, which is Crumb Cake.

Dynamic Duos One Year Anniversary, Freshly Made Sketches, Moxie Fab and There She Goes {Dream in Color}

One year of colour combos have gone by at Dynamic Duos! Every 6 months, Anne Marie and I change up the design team and each group has been wonderful to work with!!! Although we are on our third design team, we are only at one year of challenges and this week we are celebrating our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY by using our past favourite "Dynamic Duo" Colour Combo! 

My favourite combo is easily Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade! YUM! I love bright and happy colours. I was so excited to create a little gift set with the colours. 

My card sketch comes from the lovely ladies over at Freshly Made Sketches, I used a brand new stamp which I received in the mail today from There She Goes. I LOVE it!!! I decided to play along again with the There She Goes Paper Piecing Challenge and stamped the flower in Red and fussy cut it. I also stamped the leaves in Crumb Cake and coloured part of them in with a Lime colour. I also wanted to play along with Moxie Fab's 350 Cards & Gifts Week: The Gift Card Holder Challenge.

I used a glassine bag to create a small gift card holder. And then I tried to mimic the design on my card for the bag topper. Then sentiment comes from the TSG set called "The Beary Best". I used a velcro tab to make the bag reusable. I took a close up of it.

Dynamic Duos Design Team Call

Wow, where have the past 6 months gone? April is here and that means this is the last month with our current design team! They have done an outstanding job and we have enjoyed working with each of them so much! 

Change is hard but starting in May, we will be introducing a brand new design team who will be with us for the next 6 months.

The Design Team Call is on, and is open to any and all crafters! Do you like to work in an organized atmosphere that is both friendly and fun? Do you love working with colour? Do you enjoy commenting on the work of others? Then this team is for you!

We are looking for a few creative crafters to join our Dynamo Design Team!

Requirements:

1. Complete a weekly project based on the 2 colours provided: card, scrapbook page, digital project, etc.
2. Use any product you would like.
3. Be active in social media.  
4. Must have a FACEBOOK page and a blog but Pinterest, Splitcoast Stampers and Flickr accounts are acceptable if you do not have a blog.
5. Participate in FACEBOOK Social Media activities.
6. Commit to a six month term with your first challenge starting May 2013 and the last in October 2013.

CAS(E) This Sketch and Dynamic Duos {Welcome Spring}

Wow, I love that we have another hour of daylight at the end of the day!! Woohoo! Isn't Spring so refreshing and happy!! It always amazes me how affected I was by the Winter months. I do not realize how gloomy I was feeling until Spring arrives.

Today I am playing along with the super sketch at CAS(E) THIS SKETCH and the pretty colours at Dynamic Duos. 

I used the Stampin' Up set called "Elements of Style". Oh how I love this set!!! I inked my flowers with Copics and punched out the small "For You" sentiment with my 1" Circle Punch. I also added some aqua baker's twine to the little strip across the card. The green designer paper is from my scrap bin, gotta love that! I tidied up my craft space and reorganized all of my stamps...it was so refreshing being able to see all the stamps and goodies that I own. I love crafting at a clean desk!

Playing Some Challenges {Holiday Glamour}

Good morning friends! Last night I got my craft on! I have been unable to craft for a week, due to a sore arm, last night I was feeling almost normal and went crazy, making three cards. Dynamic Duos #26 {Thank You, Thank You, Thank You}

We are halfway through the challenge year at Dynamic Duos! This week we have a monochromatic colour combo that can be used for Fall, Sunflowers, etc. I decided to ink up my Papillon Potpourri set from SU! and used the cool new sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch. I am enjoying their sketches and they are encouraging me to think outside the box and it is SO MUCH FUN! It was good not to make a Christmas card today! I used the de-bossed side of the embossed yellow paper, and used black as a neutral this week. I would also like to enter this into the CASology Challenge to use something "Wild" on your card. Butterflies are in the wild!
