Playing with Sale-A-Bration Stamp Sets

Don't forget to enter your name into my Blog Candy draw!  All info can be found by clicking HERE!

I wanted to make a couple of cards using three different Sale-A-Bration sets....I decided to ink up the "Funky Four" set, "Thank You Kindly" set and the "So Happy for You" set.  The Funky Four set has this cute little flower image in it that I inked up with my markers and I love that it fits in my scallop circle punch!

This card was a quick and fun card I created with the "So Happy for You" set! I love that little Shamrock!  I punched them out with my 3/4" circle punch!  The Designer Paper is from the "Jolly Holiday" Paper Pack again! I just love that Polka Dot Paper!  The sentiment is from the Hostess Level 2 set called "Something to Celebrate".

Thanks for stopping by today!
I hope you enjoy your day and get the chance to get inky!!

Pals Paper Arts ~ A Sketch

The Pretty Pals have a great sketch going on this week!  I looked at it and decided I would try to create a more "whimsical" card!  I don't usually make many of those, so I decided to really try something new.

This stamp set is a great Sale-A-Bration set called "Funky Four".  It is from the main Catalogue.  I just received the Funky Four set FREE! I love Sale-A-Bration!!
How I made my card:

  • I inked up the fun little tree stamp with my markers and huffed it!!
  • I used my Bitty Punch Pack to make a small blossom to put on the tree with a pearl of course!
  • The sentiment comes from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set!!
  • My paper is a mixture of Jolly Holiday and Sunny Garden Designer Paper!
  • I used the crimper to create some grass and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch to add a punch of colour under my grass.
  • To focus in on the tree, I used my Mats Pack and Paper Piercer and did some small paper piercing around the edges of my main panel.
  • The tree top is stamped twice, cut out and popped up for some dimension

Hope you get the chance to play along with the Pals Paper Arts this week!!  Only 13 days left of Sale-A-Bration!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Paper Players and SUO Challenges

Another Sunday is here and that means it is time for the Paper Players Challenge this week!  Nance is our hostess and it challenging us to use fabric on our cards!  I know you are probably thinking to yourself, "Fabric?  On a card?"  or "I don't have any fabric!!!"  Well I am fabricless at this point in time, so I decided to play with ribbon!

Ribbon is such a wonderful way to add elegance to a card!  I am in love with the Stampin' Up 5/8" Satin Ribbon and today I have used Marina Mist Satin Ribbon on my card!!  My card also uses the new Sale-A-Bration set called BLISS.  You can get this set for FREE with a $60 order!!!  It is a great deal right now and I knew that I wanted this set!!  I could imagine myself using it for wedding cards or even anniversary cards!!  I am also entering this card into the Stampin' Up Only Challenge to use a Sale-a-Bration set on my creation!!!

The main flourish stamp is used on the three panels of my card.  I used Night of Navy ink.  The flourish is also white embossed on Night of Navy at the front of the card.  To add something extra special to my card, I added a row of rhinestones to my ribbon, adding a little elegance!

I hope you get the chance to visit the Paper Players and check out the wonderful creation the DT has made this week!!  Even if you don't have fabric, trying using some ribbon and see where it takes you!!!  Be sure to link up your card so we can stop by your blog for a visit!!

Thanks for stopping by!
