Happy Monday! Today we launch the brand new Merry Monday Blog!!!
Last week I announced that Merry Monday will have a blog of its own now...
click HERE to play along with us!!!
Our first challenge of the year is to make a Christmas cards using some Ribbon or Twine on it! Today I am also on the Paper Issues new issue and we are looking for LISTS!!!
Now I am not a scrapbooker but I immediately thought of SANTA and
how he is ALWAYS checking his lists!!! So here is my project for both challenges!
I kept my card clean and simple, so I could easily mail it. This is a goal for me this year as the postage in Canada is going up to $1.00 per stamp! Yikes!!!
My bloggy pal, Amy Tsuruta gave me the sweetest Christmas gift this year and she put them into a glassine gift bag! I loved that idea, so I made a matching bag for my card and put the goodies she gave me into it. (Can't wait to use them!)
{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Stampin' Up-Santa's List
Inks: Cherry Cobbler & Basic Black
Papers: SU! DSP in Cherry Cobbler, Cherry Cobbler, Black, White
Extras: May Arts Ribbon, Glassine Bag (SRM)
We hope you will come and play along with us at Merry Monday and don't forget to get 20% off your order at Paper Issues by using my code LESLEY13
Love the Santa image, Lesley! Great projects!
ReplyDeleteYikes, I forgot about postage going up. Will have to remember that when making my Christmas cards this year and only make more embellished ones for those that I hand deliver. :)
Two fantastic projects Lesley, love the DSP and ribbon trim.
ReplyDeleteWonderful projects for this week's challenge, Lesley! Love how you used your ribbon because it really keeps it from bulking up when it comes to mailing. This is one goal i'm trying to work towards this year, less bulk! Postage is becoming outrageous! LOL Pretty paper & love the Santa stamp! :)
ReplyDeleteLove these projects! I'm with you on making postage friendly cards. Now to just remember not to add all the bulky embellishments!
ReplyDeleteSince most of my cards are mailed, I always take that into consideration and rarely use ribbon on my cards. The way you've used it makes it more mailable and such a good accent on the card.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. Love the papers you used with the Santa image. The glassine bag is very nice.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Lesley! Fabulous with the glassine :)
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful projects Lesley, I love this santa he always makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteHow clever with the goodie holder and my favorite part of your beautiful card is how you used the ribbon for banners!
ReplyDeleteVery very lovely card Lesley! I love the little flags of ribbon sticking out! Thank you again for having me as Featured Designer at Merry Monday! I'm so honored!! :)
ReplyDeleteOnly 85 cents if you buy your stamps in bulk. Still a ridiculous increase, but not as bad as a dollar. Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteLove this Lesley!! Postage rates are not gonna be nice now :( It was already costing an arm and a leg to post stuff, now we'll have to take out mortgages on our homes just to send out Christmas cards ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the strips and the chevron ribbon together! And thanks for the new blog - it's so cool!
ReplyDeleteThis is super cute, Lesley....love that little trio of ribbon banners you used! I just put all my hostess appreciation gifts in glassine bags too! And I LOVE the new blog....love love love it!
ReplyDeleteWow, $1?! That's huge!
ReplyDeleteLove your projects! I'm trying to make postal holiday cards for this year!
I just love the way you present your posts Lesley, so eye-catching. This set is divine and so professional. You make this santa image look his best.
ReplyDeleteLove your easy to mail Santa card and creative way to use ribbon. Easy to mail was going to be my goal too and then I smacked a big bow with bells. Great projects!
