Merry Monday Christmas Card Club #77 {A Colour Challenge}

The week zoomed by and lots of cute snowpeople were shared!!! Thank you to everyone who joined us last week!!! This is our last challenge with Featured Designer, Stephanie Muzzulin! Stephanie has created such gorgeous cards in the past month and I absolutely loved working with her!!! Thank you Stephanie for all of your hard work!

This week we have a colour challenge for you and we want you to use Red, Pink, Light Green and Dark Green with White. Don't forget, neutrals are welcome! For my card, I dug out some Echo Park Stickers that I had in my stash and I used them. Just a quick and easy card for me this week! This is not my most favourite card but it was easy to make and I was short on time this week!

1. Each week there will be a brand new challenge posted on Monday at 5am (PST).
2. The challenge will be either a theme, an inspiration photo, a sketch or a colour combo.
3. Each participant is encoraged to comment on 3 cards in the Gallery. (Who doesn't love comments!)
4. Have fun!
5. Follow the weekly challenge closely.

Welcome to our Guest Designer this week Nancy!! She won our challenge a couple of weeks ago! Would you like to be a Guest Designer? Be sure to play along, as our weekly winner is our next Guest Designer! Let's see what the team has created for the challenge!

Weekly Winners for Merry Monday

Thank you to everyone who played along with my challenge last week!!! We loved your Snowman cards and it was SO difficult choosing our winners this week!

After a lot of careful thought, I chose Debbie's adorable snowman in a snow globe card! I love it! She didn't have a snowman image to use, so she created a snowman out of paper and she created the snow globe too! Very cool!

Congrats, Debbie! We hope you will join us as a Guest Designer.  Please email Bonnie at bonklass at gmail dot com. Be sure to put "Merry Monday Guest Designer" in the subject line

And our Honourable Mentions were voted on as well, if you received a vote from a design team member, your card and link is below. Congratulations! We hope you will display your badge with pride! If you are viewing this in Google Reader, you may have to visit the blog to see the actual cards that are linked below.

The Shabby Tea Room #186 {Pumpkins, Burlap and Twine}

Today at the Shabby Tea Room, we have a brand new challenge!!! We are looking for Pumpkins with burlap and twine! LOVE it!!! I am enjoying the Shabby Tearoom Challenges SO much! Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps!! I just had to ink up this sweet, Fall image.

Here is our inspiration photo, isn't is fabulous!!! I kept my card fairly simple, to allow the image, burlap and twine to stand out. I love the new AC textured white paper I have recently found. I am all about texture these days! I also had to use a SRM Sticker sentiment...love how quick and easy they are...and I don't get ink on my freshly coloured image!

Paper Smooches, Simon Says Stamp, Colour Q & MOJO Monday {With Sympathy}

Tonight I had the chance to get crafty and it has been long overdue! I have missed so many challenges and I desperately wanted to get inky tonight!!! I hope this weekend I will have some more time to play again!!! Tonight I am playing along with Paper Smooches, the Colour Q , Simon Says Anything Goes and the MOJO Monday Sketch!!!

I wanted to use Gray as my "other" colour. I guess I was in a grayscale mood. I paper pieced the jar on some soft gray paper and stamped the flowers in black ink. I used some AC textured white paper for my card...as I was aiming for a more clean and simple look.

Count Your Blessings!

I am excited to be sharing a card on the Whimsy and Stars blog today...please stop by...

Merry Monday Christmas Card Club {SNOWMEN!}

Welcome to the Merry Monday Christmas Card Club!!! Thank you for playing along and for all the commenting that you did for each other!! I think it makes it so much more friendly, don't you think!! I know many of you were stumped by last weeks "brown" colour to be used {sorry}...when I am stumped like that, I try using brown for the sentiment...and then use the other colours as a main focal point.

This week's challenge will be MUCH easier and it is my absolute FAVOURITE...I hope you are as excited about this as I am...this week is all about...

SNOWMEN!!!!

We did have some questions asked last week and I posted answers to them HERE.

This week we want you USE A SNOWMAN

ON YOUR CARD!!!

Here are the Guidelines to follow:
1. Each week there will be a brand new challenge posted on Monday at 5am (PST).
2. Each participant is encouraged to  comment on 3 cards in the INLINKZ Gallery.
3. Neutral colours and any product is welcome. (Neutral Colours are all Stampin' Up Neutrals)
4. Follow the weekly challenge closely to complete a Christmas card.
5. HAVE FUN!

For my card, I decided to use some new to me Paper Smooches stamps. I was recently in Seattle and decided to go to this cute little store in Sequim called "Doodlebugs". They have Paper Smooches!!! Woohoo! SO I picked up this cute snowman set and a Christmas sentiment set.  My sketch comes from the ladies at Retro Sketches. It was perfect for the idea I had in mind.

I kept the background clean and simple. I used a large polka dot embossing folder, for a fun looking snowfall and I cut out each snow"person" and popped them up. The shorter snowman represents the circle of the sketch.

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Paper Smooches-Snowdudes and Joyful Greetings
Inks: Black and Copics
Papers: Island Indigo, Pool Party, White
Extras: Large Dot Embossing Folder, Big Shot

Our Guest Designer was supposed to be Kristie but she was unable to create a card for this week's challenge due to a family commitment. She won our challenge a couple of weeks ago! Would you like to be a Guest Designer? Be sure to play along, as our weekly winner is our next Guest Designer! Let's see what the team has created for the challenge! And poor Stephanie, our Featured Designer, is feeling under the weather. She is taking the week off. Feel better soon, Stephanie!
