Spring Break Frivolity! {TAWS, CTD, MFT & FTL}

Well my first day of Spring Break was HIGHLY productive! I had a blast; inking up some fun new stamp sets and playing along with a couple of challenges.

This first card I used the sketch from the Fall to Layout and the colours from The Colour Throwdown. I was also inspired by the BIC Challenge and played along-so I used an Alley Way Stamp!

For my next card, I played along with the BIC Challenge again and also used the colours from The Colour Throwdown again. The sketch above is one I found at My Favorite Things!

Just Us Girls and Fall-to-Layout

Well I can't sleep.  I spent the day purging and cleaning my craft room!  It feels SO much better and I am thrilled with it!!  Being all clean and tidy, got me in the mood to craft!  So I was looking through some fun challenges and came across the Fall-to-Layout Sketch and the Colour Challenge over at Just Us Girls.

A work mate just had a baby in September and so I wanted to create a card for her that we could all sign.  She had a girl, but I just had to colour the cute dino in green.  LOL!  I used the Pink Cat Dino Image and some Certainly Celery Cardstock and some retired "Lavender Lace" cardstock.  The lavender piece was embossed with my dots folder.  I used my Oval nestie for the main image and then my wide oval punch for the sentiment.  This is a really clean and simple card, I hope she likes it!

Friday Mashup Challenge #28-Vintage Birdy

Shirley over at the Friday Mashup Challenge has another great challenge for us this week!  She wants us to use birds on our project!  I can't tell you how much I wanted to use the new "Nature Walk" stamp set from the new Mini Catalogue but I don't own it yet!  I have been waiting for Sale-A-Bration to start as I am sure many of you have been too!!

I wanted to created something vintage and I was lacking MOJO!!  I went looking at some of the other awesome challenges out there to get inpsired and decided I would try the Sketch 124 from the Clean and Simple Blog and The Colour Throwdown Challenge-Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake (I add black and vanilla as a neutral accent).  I think I over did it with my Crumb Cake "distressing"!!

I hope you get the chance to play along with the Mashup Team this week!!!  Be sure to check out the Colour Throwdown and the Clean and Simple Sketch too!

I love reading your comments and hearing from you!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by!
Smiles,
Lesley

Clean and Simple FTL#92 and The Play Date Cafe Challenge #31

Another post!  Wow!  I love Friday night afterwork! I wanted to play along with the Clean and Simple Fall-To-Layout this week!  I love it!  I changed the dimensions a bit, I didn't make a square card but went with an A2 card.
I also loved the colours at The Play Date Cafe!  I knew immediately that I had to ink up my Watercolour Trio set! Oh I love this set and I love that it is a Clear Mount Set from SU! The new Clear Mount Sets are awesome because they take up such little room in my stamp area! I can't wait to see the new stamps coming out in July in the new Catalogue!!!
So I put the two challenges together and came up with a clean and simple card!  I went for a simple Whisper White and Elegant Eggplant card.  Then I used my Stampin' Write Markers to ink up my flowers in the set.  Then I huffed and stamped!  I used the Scallop Circles #2 Die and the Big Shot.  I also used my Circle Scissors Plus to make the centre.  The white panel of paper behind the circles, is put through my paper crimper.  It was so challenging taking a photo of this white card!  The light really bounces off it!  Here it is at another angle.
Thanks for stopping by!
Smiles,
Lesley :)
