CASE this Sketch & Tag You're It!

Time for another challenge at CASE this Sketch! So excited that we are teaming up with Jackie's new challenge called Tag You're It! This challenge is all about creating a tag or a tag for your card using the sketch! This challenge will be a 2 week challenge so there is lots of time to play along!

Tag You're It Challenge

I got out my trusty Verve stamps and went to work creating three matching tags for my stash! I love to have tags on hand for all sorts of reasons...but the main reason is for dressing up a wine bottle or a gift of some sort.

Once again, I tried a new technique with colouring the flowers...in fact, I did a "flicking" technique that is quick and easy to use. I had so much fun colouring this blooms and using the sentiments from Great Friend and Hope Blooms. I took a single shot of each tag...so you could see them up close. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you will join us at CASE this Sketch and Tag You're It!!

12 Kits of Occasions {July Guest}

Today is very exciting for me as I am happy to be the July Guest Designer over at The 12 Kits of Occasions! Wow! I was so excited and touched when my friend Tracey McNeely asked me to the the guest for July and I was thrilled to discover that the theme is CHRISTMAS!! Woot!!! I love Christmas! Below is a photo of all the goodies she sent to each person on the team! Wow, so much loot and lots of fun to play with! Thank you, Tracey!

Here are the projects I made with the goodies...

I love having tags on hand to decorate bottles that I wrap with tissue. Last year I wrapped wine bottles and then added a tag with some ribbon to some bottles of wine for the staff at my husband's work.

I also love to make matching gift sets and I paired the sweet pillow box to a CAS card I made...using a fun tag! Isn't that ornament paper so pretty! I love it!

Another CAS card...and easily mail-able too! I love the sweet snowman and the die cut sentiment was a lot of fun to use...this card was simple to make!

My final card is the "most loaded" and one that I will probably hand deliver. I made a small poinsettia out of red card stock for this card to jazz it up a bit!

Thank you so much for stopping by and another special thank you to Tracey for inviting me to be a Guest at the 12 Kits of Occasions! Such a fun idea and I loved the goodies I got the chance to play with!

Birthday Blog Hop for LeAnne!

We are hosting a blog birthday hop to celebrate my good friend, LeAnne Pugliese over at Merry Monday and I hope you will hop along to see the cards everyone made for her! I "met" LeAnne through The Color Throwdown in 2009 and I am so happy that I made a connection with her. She is one of the most thoughtful and easy going people I have met. I am thankful for our friendship! One day we will meet, LeAnne!

I created a card with blues and yellows...as I know she enjoys those colours together! Happy birthday you sweet lady! I hope you are spoiled rotten! Hop along to Nina's blog to see the next birthday card! Below is the entire birthday hop! I used a Stampin' Up set called Peaceful Petals and a sentiment set from Avery Elle.

You're so Punny Challenge-SPD07 & CASE this Sketch

Today I am sharing a card I made for the current SugarPea Designs Challenge and the new sketch over at Case this Sketch! The challenge at SugarPea Designs is "You're SO Punny"! These stamps are perfect for punny styled cards and they are lots of "pun"!

I inked up the new set called "Spare Me"! It has SO many punny sentiments and I decided to make a "Thank You Teacher" card. I took the main image and placed it in a Polaroid frame! I kept my card clean lined and very simple. AND I am pretty excited about his hair! LOL! I have been practicing making the hair more "real" with my Copic markers...I am happy with my efforts...and I will keep practicing!

Viva la Verve Sketch & Inspiration #3 {Miss You Like Crazy}

Happy weekend! We have just had a wonderful 4 days with some relatives! Fishing, sightseeing and ice cream eating...it was all awesome! Today I got the chance to get inky and I really wanted to play along with the VLV Sketch Challenge. I love this sketch and the inspiration!

I wanted to try a new technique with my Copic markers and coloured the flower with some different aqua tone flicks. I also loved the texture of the twine and added some lacy ribbon, instead of the scallops. I hope you can see how I was inspired...wood, texture, colour and freshness. I added three sequins for a little bling.
