Welcome to the Craftroom {Part 1}

Welcome to my new craft space...Part 1! This past month, I have been trying to pair down my craft supplies to make way for a new space. I have moved my craft room into our Guest room as we are going to be doing a reno on my old craft space. So this is just temporary but I love it!

My father in-law was living in our Guest Room and he put up these shelves for himself. When he moved out, he left them and wow, I love them! There is an electric heater on the floor below the shelves, so I couldn't use a traditional bookcase. But hubby is building me another bookcase from IKEA tonight, and it will sit beside these shelves and hold my inks and punches.

Feeling kinda crafty, I decided to make some tags for all of my stamps in these clear containers. I bought each container for $1.80 and that included the lid! Yippee! I made the labels on my computer, printed them out and then created a sweet little chevron background for each of them. These are all my wood stamps (gulp) and I have put them into categories ..Christmas, Sentiments, Background, etc. I took all my Stampin' Up wood block stamps out of their containers and mixed them up. Man, it felt good to get rid of all those little boxes. I am no longer a SU! demo, so I am not worried about what set each stamp belonged to.

At IKEA they have these magazine holders and I use them to store my paper. Some of them are old and need to be replaced! The papers are sorted by colour. So each magazine holder hold one block of colour.

This is one of my new desks. It will be the main desk where I craft. I will be able to grab all my supplies because they will be close at hand.

I am excited about my new space and I hope the rest of it will come together smoothly. This is just one corner!! I hope to be sharing the rest of the photos aka Part 2, very soon with you!

Off to make dinner for hubby...got to keep him fed, so he will finish the other furniture pieces!! LOL!

  3. Your temporary room looks great! I love the way you store your stamps. I do have a question though. If you broke down your Stampin up stamps and took them out of their original box,(brilliant by the way) how do you remember what the name of the set was called?
    Thanks for the tour!

  10. What a great craft space! I love to see what others do with their space. I have all my wood stamps up on the wall, but I ran out of room. I might put all my Christmas stamps in a box like yours, since I only use them at Christmas. Thanks for the idea.
