Vellum Butterfly Thanks {CTD & TCC}

I am sharing a card I made for The Color Throwdown and The Card Concept. The colours and the inspiration photo from The Color Throwdown inspired me to use my distress inks and to do the emboss resist technique.

  1. I inked the foliage in Versamark ink on glossy paper and then added clear embossing powder to it. Don't forget to use your embossing buddy!
  2. Then I set the powder with my heat gun.
  3. After that I used the distress inks to create a blue, green, yellow background.
  4. I applied a SRM Sticker for the sentiment and punched out a vellum butterfly with my old Martha Stewart punch.

  8. I love the idea of the two layers of sponging and the colours on them not quite lining up - it's unified, but still filled with interest! Great to see you at the Card Concept!
