Color Throwdown & The New Challenge {Hello}

Good day crafty friends! As mentioned in my last post, I fell down my icy front steps yesterday morning on my way to my car. Today I am feeling it. I was shocked at how stiff and sore I am today! Not to mention the many big bruises that are popping up! I am OK but really achy as expected! Thank you so much for your kind words yesterday. I appreciated all the thoughtful comments.

Yesterday I also shared a card and gift bag set I made with the Zoo Babies Stampin' Up stamp set. I have had that set since the Fall and it is amazing to me that I have only inked it twice. My new mission as a blogger and crafter is to use ALL the many supplies I have hoarded collected over the years! It is craziness.

So I got to work and pulled out the Stampin' Up set called Fabulous Florets. I remember when I just HAD to have this set! I dusted it off and stamped the floret in black and fussy cut it out and then stamped the flowers in Memento Black Ink and cut them out. Then I coloured the flowers with my Copic Markers in Yellow & Deep Orange. I used this colours from the Color Throwdown and my sketch that I shared yesterday at The New Challenge. This time I scored the lines using my scorpal...easy peasy!

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Fabulous Florets
Inks: Memento Black & Copics
Papers: Black & White
Extras: Snips, Scorpal

  3. So striking, Lesley! I adore that orange (it's my current fav for the longest time now)! Love the contrast so much! Sorry about your fall. I must say the trip from my driveway to my mail box is the deadliest and I always try to be VERY careful (really feeling the age when walking on ice!!). Take care now!

  4. Absolutely striking & beautiful! Love this card, Lesley! I have that goal, too--use what I've got! It's killing me not to buy the new stuff I want, but enough is enough--LOL! So glad you weren't seriously hurt. Ice is so frightening & often you don't even realize how slippery it is. I've fallen twice on the deck in the past few years--above freezing so didn't think it would be frosty, but it was!

  7. Yummy card, love those colours. Hope you mend fast, nothing like hitting the ground unexpectantly. ( think I made that word up). Having never experienced snow or ice on the ground I have to say how lucky I am as I have a terrible habit of tripping over my own shadow so imagine if I lived in a snowy or icy environment. Bit of light humor there, anyway look after yourself.
