Getting my Craft On {Merry and Bright}

Tonight I was in a crafty mood! I went in search of a few fun challenges and decided to get inky! I love the sweet stamps at Totally Stampalicious, they are a Canadian Company which is cool! I am a Canadian too! So there I was looking through some different challenges and I knew I really wanted to challenge myself to make something with lots of layers and embellishments! So I tried my best! Totally Stampalicious has a "Let it Snow" Theme Challenge on this week, so I got out their WINTER BIRD SNOWMAN set and went to work!

{Supplies Used}

Stamps: WINTER BIRD SNOWMAN, Poinsettia and Pine from Flourishes

Inks: Copics, Basic Gray, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

Papers: My Mind's Eye, Flourishes Vanilla CS, October Afternoon

Extras: Pearls, Striped Ribbon, Scallop Punch, Sponge, Nestabilities, Stickles

One sketch challenge I always want to try but have not had the chance to play along with yet is the Deconstructed Sketch. I flipped the sketch and used my ribbon as a flag on the side, not down the side of the front panel. I also added pearls right along the bottom of the card. I really loved this sketch and found that it gave me great inspiration!

Merry Monday #43 {Our Final Challenge for 2012!}

Wow! Here we are, the final Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge for 2012 but we will be back on January 7th, 2013! Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and to all of our Featured Designers, who came and played and inspired us with their works of art! This week we have an interesting sketch! Go ahead and change up those circles, have fun and be creative! 

For my card,I decided to get out the retired Stampin' Up Stocking Punch and created a traditional Christmas coloured card! I love this paper from Stampin' Up called Be of Good Cheer, it is so pretty and the traditional colours are easy to work with!

Playing Some Challenges {Holiday Glamour}

Good morning friends! Last night I got my craft on! I have been unable to craft for a week, due to a sore arm, last night I was feeling almost normal and went crazy, making three cards. Whimsie Doodles and CAS(E) this Sketch {Feeling Frosty}

I found a new challenge called "Whimsie Doodles" and this month they are looking for any {Holiday Celebration}! I loved their cute freebie and decided to play along! My card is SOOOO clean and simple! I loved this sweet snowman! I am also using the current CAS(E) this Sketch. 

There She Goes Sketch Challenge {Warm Hearts and Wet Noses}

Tonight was the release party for the new There She Goes Stamps. I couldn't believe that I won two of their release stamp sets tonight! I am so excited to play with that new Snowman set! It is adorable! I decided I needed to get inky tonight when I saw their current Sketch Challenge. It is an awesome CAS sketch and so I went CAS with the look of my card! I inked up the adorable Snowy Days stamp set, which I bought because the dog reminded me of our pup Cyrus.

Merry Monday #42-{Season's Greetings}

Happy Saturday stamping friends. This past week has been so busy, with report card writing and life! I actually have a sore left arm, not from any heart issues thank goodness (I had that checked out) but because I pulled a muscle in my chest. I am not sure how I do these things. Needless to say, it is painful and I have been favouring it all week. 

This is my Merry Monday card that I made earlier in the week but have not had the chance to post. I wanted to remind you that the Merry Monday Challenge ends on Sunday at Noon (PST).

MDS Monday {Remember When}

Hey! Have you heard? There is a new challenge blog in town and this one is all about using digital scrap-booking  It is called "MDS Monday" and you are welcome to use your My Digital Studio (MDS) program from Stampin' Up or any other digital program you may have.

I saw the awesome layout and decided to play along. I love this photo of my husband with his granny. This was taken in the summer of 2005, we were at a wedding. His granny was a wonderful lady and he was close to her. I wish I had been able to get to know her more. I used some muted colours, so the photo would be more prominent. I love the new MDS 2 program!
