Colour Dare CAS

Tonight I was inspired to play along with the gals at the Colour Dare.  They have an intriguing colour combo this week...

Cherry Cobbler
Marina Mist
Basic Gray

These colours are so unusual together and right away I thought of a boy's birthday card but after several attempts, I just couldn't make that work!  So then I decided to go simple...clean and simple!  I have wanted to ink up my "Friends 24/7" set for a while...I finally bought it last month, after years of borrowing it from a friend.  It is my all time favourite set and I knew I had to have it! So here is my Clean and Simple take on the colours this week...nothing "groundbreaking" but I am happy.  I think this will be a nice card for my stash!!!

I thought about embossing or stamping the background of the card but I decided to let it be!  I used my Blender Pens to colour the flowers, the stems are coloured with the blender pen and gray ink.  Maybe I should have coloured the flowers Cherry Cobbler?  I will have to try that next time.

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Just beautiful! LOVE those colors and of course the clean and simple look is always a favorite of mine. So very pretty.

  2. I think these are a good set of masculine colors too, but you seemed to pull off a very pretty floral! Nice!

  3. Lovely card! I really like how you the white draws your eye to the splashes of color!

  4. Beautiful, Lesley! I love this color combination! And your card is so clean and classy!

  5. So clean and elegant--a lovely use of these colors. Good for you for pulling off a feminine card! So glad you took the Dare this week!

  6. I think it is wonderful. And sometimes clean and simple is the best :) Take Care
