CAS(E) this Sketch #90 {Hello}

Time for another sketch from CAS(E) this SketchChrissy Larson is our hostess this week and I absolutely LOVE the sketch she has given us. I think the main idea of a skewed angle is fun!

I had some gorgeous die cuts sent to me from my good friend, Lori Turner (Hi Lori!!! Waving!!!) and I decided to use them on this sketch! The white piece of paper measures 3"x 4" and I used the largest circle punch from Stampin' Up to punch out a circle...then I laid a piece of vellum under the circle.

A small button laced with some natural twine (thanks, Jen Mitchell) and my card was complete! I wanted to create a neutral base for my card and I have to admit, it feels "bare" to me somehow...it took minutes to pull together and that is always an odd feeling! Be sure to check out the team's creations...wow, I am amazed by them each week!

The Challenge #13 {Wintery Hues}

Hello and welcome to The Challenge #13 already!!!! Today we have another sketch/colour combo! You can use just the sketch, just the colours or combine the two...it is totally up to you!

Christmas has been on my brain...it is exactly three months away today (eep!) and so I thought I had better get a Christmas card done for my stash! I wanted to create something clean, simple with lots of white! So I did my layers light and airy and kept the design simple. I used all Stampin' Up stamps for a change and I used Bermuda Bay, Not Quite Navy and Pumice (Distress) Inks.

The measurements for my sketch are:
Card Base-4.25"x 5.5"
Middle Rectangle (layer)-3.25"x 4.25"
Middle Rectangle-3"x 4"

The design team here at The Challenge has created such amazing cards to inspire you! I hope you enjoy using the sketch or the colours or both!

Time for another challenge at CASE this Sketch! This week the talented Leigh is our sketcher and she has come up with a simple sketch that is fun to work with!

I immediately wanted to play along with my MFT Silhouettes stamps...and inked them up in red, aqua and espresso for a bold design. I added a couple of sequins and a small butterfly. Easy peasy and a CAS to have on hand to send to a friend.

SugarPea Designs Challenge {Anything Goes} & Mojo Monday

Good morning friends! Today it is time for a brand new challenge over at the SugarPea Designs blog! Hooray! The theme is ANYTHING GOES! I inked up a sweet set called "Love You Bunches" and I used the fun sketch over at Mojo Monday! It was perfect!

Store-Love-you-Bunches

I inked up my image with Copic markers and I have been working on trying to create more realistic hair. I was inspired by the sweet sentiment and used some Valentine themed Doodlebug papers with some MME papers. A simple bow with a button finished my card!

I also managed to finish the inside of the card...I love the sweet little dog that comes in this set and used it for the inside of my card. I decided to make a friendship themed card...

Seize the Sketch {A Goodbye}

Hello stamping friends! After much consideration, I have decided to close Seize the Sketch. It was a difficult decision for me to make but I know it is the correct decision for me at this time. I am working on spending less time on the computer and more time "living". I think the walking I have been doing combined with the weight loss has made me realize how much I need to slow down with technology and get outside a little more. So I am slowly making some changes. Thank you to my amazing team for all of their hard work and dedication. You have been wonderful to work with! A special thank you to Jen Mitchell...for helping with the posts.

Now onto the final sketch, from Cathy!
Wow, what a great sketch! I love the simplicity of it and I hope you will too.

Please excuse the photo...my main camera is full of holiday photos and I was unable to use it for this card. So I took a quick shot with my camera phone. I used some Verve again, so happy I have discovered these stamps and kept my design simple.

Come and play along at Seize the Sketch! Thank you for your support with this challenge!

Paper Sweeties August Release Rewind!

Time for a new stamp release over at Paper Sweeties

As you can see...I LOVE this sweet flower and die set! I mixed the new release with the Teapot Die (another fave from Paper Sweeties) and I wanted to create a funkier look with the colours. I die cut the teapot in black and white polka dot paper...I hope it stands out enough. The roses are clustered together and the sentiment is stamped in the same colour for some continuity!

The design team has created some eye candy that is sure to inspire! Come and hop along with us!

Paper Sweeties August Release Party!

Time for a new stamp release over at Paper Sweeties

This is my favourite new set and matching die! I LOVE roses and I especially LOVE ones in this style...kinda like in my blog header! This flower is stylized and pretty! I cut out some leaves with the new leaf die cut too...and added a few for some "foliage" around my flowers. I also used the new banner die and the pretty sentiment! I created a clean and vintage wedding card so I am also linking up to The Card Concept Wedding Card Challenge!

I love using doilies and some sequins...this is my favourite card of all my release cards. I hope you like it too! Be sure to hop along today to see what the rest of the team created and be sure to come back tomorrow for one final project.

Paper Sweeties August Release Countdown!

Time for a new stamp release over at Paper Sweeties

I absolutely love balloon dies and stamps and I squealed when I saw this sweet balloon image in my design team package this month! I made a super simple card and stamped the balloon five times and then coloured the balloons with my Copics. I kept the design simple and I am so happy with how it turned out. I love that the balloon "string" is curved which makes stamping a bunch of balloons easy! I have not made a card this simple in such a long time!
