This week at the Paper Players, the wonderful Anne Marie Hile has come up with a fabulous sketch for us!  I am right into my Spice Cake Designer Paper!  My Auntie Kerry, asked me to design a Sympathy card that she could use for her stash...so I made one with the "Always Thankful" Stamp set and the "Petite Pairs" stamp set.  I hope she likes the card I designed.  To help her recreate the card at home, I have added the measurements below for her...if you would like to use the measurements, please feel free too!

Measurements:
Panels-Soft Suede-4" x 1 5/8"
Spice Cake Designer Paper Panels 3 3/4" x 1 3/8"

Vanilla Panel (where image is stamped)- 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Tools used: Heat Gun, Clear Embossing Powder, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch

Freshly Made Sketches #2-To Emboss or Not to Emboss?

This week at Freshly Made Sketches, we are creating a square card but you don't have to make it Square...feel free to make the sketch fit an A2 card!

The first card used the Always Thankful set and the new Hand-Penned Sentiments set.  I didn't emboss the images but stamped them in Early Espresso.

The second card used Versa Mark and some clear embossing powder mixed with Espresso Ink...what card do you think works better?

Please visit us at Freshly Made Sketches to link up your card before noon next Monday!  The design team has some gorgeous samples to share....

Stamping 411-Leaves of a Tree

The summer has flown by and I am sad to say, I didn't get the opportunity to stamp that much!  But now that school is back in and I am working, I am finding more time to stamp which is wonderful!

Stamping 411 has a great sketch this week and I have missed playing their challenges!  So today I decided to play along!  I tried to make the circle work but just couldn't make it work for what I had in mind.  I noticed that some of their DT didn't use the circle either, so I decided to go for it!!!

I used an Emboss Resist technique to create my card and the new Leaves of a Tree stamp that is on the back page of the holiday mini catalogue.  Although this card did not come out as I had imagined, I am so happy I got the chance to play along with the gals at 411.

Paper Players Challenge #61-Sketch by Jaydee

Good morning blogging friends!!! Corey went out fishing with a buddy and brought home 3 salmon...yum! Take a look. Too bad the boys were standing in the shadows! LOL! We ate some of the salmon tonight and it was YUMMY! I spent the day at home today, feeling under the weather. After a long bath tonight, I am starting to feel more like myself!

This week at the Paper Players it is our last week with our Fall Design Team Lauri Ingram and Sandra Azzopardi.  Both ladies have been exceptional team mates!  I will miss them!  This past month Carrie Gaskin has been our Guest Designer and has done a marvelous job of it too!  Thank you ladies!  Jaydee has come up with an awesome sketch for us to try!!!  I decided to go clean and simple, relying on designer paper and plain ol' stamping...I didn't even colour the image!!!

I used the new Spice Cake Designer Paper and the Always Thankful Stamp set that is coming out on September 1st!  We hope that you will join the Paper Players Challenge this week!  Please be sure to visit the other DT Members to see their wonderful creations!
