Viva La Verve November 2014 Week 4 Sketch, The Paper Players & Simon Says Stamp

December 1st tomorrrow! Wow, where has the time gone!? This Fall has flown by and I am in "countdown" mode to Christmas. This year I must admit that I am feeling overwhelmed by the thought of decorating the tree, wrapping gifts to send away, finishing my Christmas cards and all of the family outings that are coming! Whew! It is always SO busy this time of year and I want to relax and enjoy! Do you have lots on your plate too?

Today I crafted! I wanted to play with the awesome new sketch at Viva la Verve. I had fun inking up the Bright Spirits stamp set again, I bought it for the beautiful sentiments in it. I love scripty, scrolled sentiments! They always appeal and are elegant to me. I love creating traditional and elegant, Christmas cards. I am also linking up at Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes Challenge. I am also playing along with The Paper Players and Jaydee's Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I used Pattern Paper, Embossed and Snowflake.

I wanted to play along with the current MOJO Monday Sketch, Anything Goes at Just Us Girls and the colours at The Challenge! I inked up Icicle with some Memento black ink and colour him with my Copics. This card measures 3.5" x 5".

Art Impressions {Season Greetings}

 

Happy Friday! Wow, I find the countdown to Christmas is ZOOMING by! Today I am sharing a card I made using the adorable new Christmas stamp called SKU#4518-Season's Greetings Set. I have so much to do and I want to have my cards done as soon as possible! So I tend to make cards that are easy to make like this one!

Many people email me with questions about Sketches and dimensions. This sketch is a "go-to" sketch for me and so I wanted to share the dimensions. These are approximate and you are welcome to alter them, but I wanted to give new stampers something to start with! Happy Stamping!

Time Out Challenge, SSS and Viva la Verve

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American friends! I think I have shared on my blog before that I have ALWAYS wanted to be in New York for the American Thanksgiving because I want to go to the Macy Day Parade. It all stems from the movie, Miracle on 34th Street. It is on my bucket list and I hope to be there one day!

Today I am sharing one card and three tags! I made these for the current Viva la Verve Colour Challenge and as a reminder post for the Time Out Challenge! I am their current Guest Designer! Such fun! The challenge is for embossing/glitter. I used both dry and wet embossing on my projects. I then used my Copic markers to add some "colour" to the embossing. I wish I could capture a better photograph of how they sparkle!

  

My Christmas card was simple to make and I think would be fun to mass produce. I used the wonderful set called Bright Spirits for my tags today!

I used the Verve Set called Peace on Earth and inked it up on half a doily! I used some ribbon which I have not used on my cards in a long while. I am also linking up at the Simon Says Stamp "Anything Goes Challenge".

Purple Onion Designs & The Card Concept

Today I am excited to share some tags I made using the new stamps from Purple Onion Designs. Today at The Card Concept we are teaming up with Tracey McNeely and her 25 Days of Christmas Tags! I made these tags WAY back in October...I love working ahead. I used the sweet new images are Purple Onion Designs. I love them. I hope you do too. The theme at The Card Concept is Snowmen, Snow, or anything Wintery.

  

I kept the design simple, and fussy cut the little animals. I adore Purple Onion images!!!

Using the same papers, I made three different tags. I used Joe the Snowman , Walter the Skating Penguin, and Grace the Skating Fox.

Art Impressions {Lighted Snowman} & Scrapbook Adhesives

Isn't the look on that snowman's face adorable!? I love how happy he is that Christmas is on the way! Happy Friday! Today I am sharing a Christmas card using the Lighted Snowman Set #4349 on the Art Impressions Blog...stop on by! 

Today I am using some product from Scrapbook Adhesives! I love their larger foam squares, they made all the layers of my card, pop!

I made my card a tad irregular into a 5.5" square card! I also wanted to add a poinsettia to the side, to further highlight this adorable snowman! 

Do you have any snow where you live? It is sure cold in my area but no snow yet!

CASE this Sketch & Time Out Challenge

Thursday is here! Wow, the week is flying by. I have noticed this week that I am SO tired. It is strange as I have been eating well and exercising but for some reason, I am just plum exhausted. I think it may be the shorter days...I need to start taking my vitamin D again. Is winter over yet?

Today I am sharing a card I made for the current sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch and I am thrilled to be the guest over at the Time Out Challenge. Yay! A couple of weeks ago, I won their challenge and one of the perks is that I get to be a Guest Designer. Thank you, Sandie for this opportunity. This challenge is a cool one...it is all about Embossing and Sparkle! Woot!!! Two of my favourite things!

With Christmas coming around the corner, I went into my craft stash and decided to make another Poinsettia card! I was on a kick! I used Bright Spirits from VERVE once again and my Spellbinders poinsettia die! The poinsettia is dry embossing and the sentiment is in gold glitter embossing powder. I hope you find the time to play along with either challenge!!!

SugarPea Designs Theme Challenge & Retro Sketches

Hooray! Wednesday already and I am happy because I have two holiday cards to share!!! Both were created for the current Retro Sketch and the new THEME challenge over at SugarPea Designs! I loved the simplicity of the sketch and I just had to play along! The sketch is based on one of Tracey McNeely's cards! Needless to say, I had to play along to support my pal!

Keeping my design simple, I inked up the snowflake from Sweet Treats and I stamped it along the side of my card. Then I stamped the sentiment from Frosty Friends onto it in black ink. This card was quick and simple to make...

My second card is a stepped up version of the first card. Basically, I added another large 5x5" card base to make the card a little more "stately". I got out the stickles for the red berries...wow, have not used those in a long while! It was fun!
