Paper Players Challenge #75 {Holiday Hoopla} and BLOG Candy

There is BLOG CANDY up for grabs at the end of this post....
Happy Sunday everyone, the weekend always zooms by and this one was no different!  I made a card for our Challenge this week at the Paper Players, it is hosted by the lovely and sweet Nance.  Her fabulous theme is to use a stamp or product that is not normally used for Christmas or colours that are not used for Christmas...I love it!

I wracked my brain for days as to which stamp set, paper, etc to use but I was inspired by some other challenges and that made my final card idea come to life.  I am not going to tell you what stamp I used...that is part of the Blog Candy I am offering below...hehehe.  I was inspired to create a card with Pink Poinsettias....at least I hope they look like Poinsettias.  The flower (from the mystery set) looked like a poinsettia to me and I even quizzed my hubby...he didn't know this wasn't a Christmas stamp. The sentiment is from a brand new set made by "Joanna Munster" called Christmas Cheer.  I went clean and simple with my design...I hope you like it.

I had so much fun creating this PINK card for a pal I know in Texas (WINK) who happens to love pink!  I was inspired to make this card by the following challenges:

Scrapbooker's Paradise-use a monochromatic colour scheme (Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose)

CAS-ual Fridays-Tic Tac Toe-Choose a row down, across or diagonal, then create a Clean And Simple project using those 3 design elements.  I choose Scallops, Polka Dots and Pink.

Freshly Made Sketches-Sketch #13-This is my sketch for the week and I thought I would challenge myself to use it again.

I even finished off the inside with more designer paper and stamped the image again...
We hope that you will join the Paper Players Challenge this week!  Please be sure to visit the other DT Members to see their wonderful creations!

  3. Very pretty, Lesley! I love the pinks! I'm guessing Bliss was the set, but I'm too lazy to go to my room to verify. :) I'll have to remember that when I need a Christmas flower next time! Is that the Tasteful Trim die you used for the strip? Mine will be here Tuesday (Happy Birthday to me a bit early!) and I can't wait to use it!
