Seize the Birthday #13 {You're My Hero}

Here is my card for Seize the Birthday!! A day late and a dollar short...isn't that the saying? I finally had a moment to sit down to craft tonight and this was all I had time to make. Just one card. Wish I had more time to craft tonight but it is late and I need to get some sleep for work tomorrow.

I inked up a sweet little sentiment set from Paper Sweeties and paired it with the adorable Mustache Die  from Memory Box. I love this die!!! Thought this would be a nice Dad Birthday card to tuck away! My dad always had a mustache when I was a kid.

This week, we are excited to be sponsored by Debbie Marcinkiewicz from Paper Sweeties™ LLC. She is offering a $10 gift certificate to the shop for each week! Thank you so much Debbie!!

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #57 {Believe in the Magic}

Welcome to my weekly Christmas card Challenge called "Merry Monday"! Each week, I post a challenge to inspire you to create a Christmas card for your Christmas card stash! We are going back to sketches from now on, so here is this week's Sketch!

This week I decided to flip my sketch on the side and went with some traditional Christmas colours. I used the mustache die from Memory Box to create a Santa feel to my card and then I inked up a Christmas set from My Favorite Things. To give this card a more modern feel, I dry embossed the middle white section with a chevron folder, and added a tag for my sentiment.

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: My Favorite Things
Inks: Memento Basic Black
Papers: Black, White, Red and Tag
Extras: Mustache Die Memory Box, Black Baker's Twine, Big Shot, Embossing folder

Welcome to our Guest Designer this week Lisa Johansen!! She won our challenge a couple of weeks ago! Would you like to be a Guest Designer? Be sure to play along, as our weekly winner is our next Guest Designer!

Less is More & There She Goes

I thought it would be fun to use this There She Goes set called Giddy Up to create a little "Get Well Soon" set for a man. A survival set of sorts! I used the Cacti to create a Get Well Card and then got out a Glassine bag from my stash to make a little holder for some...can you guess what is in the bag?

The ___________________________??? fit perfectly in the bag, so I made a little top for it and a matching tag...just love this sentiment "Keep Calm and Ride On"!!! How fun is that! I used some Washi Tape to add the tag...to the topper I made. The topper is dry embossed with a woodgrain embossing folder and measures 4" x 5". I made the tag from some scrap paper.

The inspiration for my project came from the following challenges:

Play Date Cafe, CAS(E) this Sketch & The Alley Way Be Inspired {We Click}

Happy Weekend! Friday night is my crafty night and I had the chance to play along with some of my favourite challenges! Yippee! I loved the clean and fun sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch and I am a sucker for neutrals, so The Play Date Cafe Colours this week, caught my eye!

I also loved the Inspiration photo over at The Alley Way Stamps blog...and I was inspired to make this card for a happy couple...

During Spring Break I ordered some goodies from Alley Way Stamps and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to ink this adorable set called "FRAMED!" I used some smooch paint in silver to create the lens on my camera. I inked up those sweet hearts behind it with Crumb Cake ink on Kraft paper.

{Supplies}
Stamps: The Alley Way Stamps "FRAMED!"
Inks: Black, Crumb Cake, Copics, Silver Smooch
Papers: Kraft, Soft Yellow, Black
Extras: None

FUSION {Hypothesis #1}

Get out your beakers, fire up the Bunsen burners...we have an exciting "Hypothesis" to tackle this week at FUSION!

Today is our first EXPERIMENT and we are hoping you will join the fun!! Jackie and I have been having a "BLAST" designing and preparing this challenge!!!

Here is our first Hypothesis...

THIS WEEK'S HYPOTHESIS:
What will generate the most successful card for the week; the sketch or the inspiration photo or the two combined?

PROCEDURES:
1. Play with just Jackie's sketch challenge.
2. Play with just Lesley's inspiration photo challenge.
3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.
5. Please read the other considerations on the Experiment Page before playing along.
