Merry Monday Christmas Card Club and meet November's Featured Designer!

Monday is here and with it comes a brand new Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge! 

We are also excited to welcome our Featured Designer for November, Linda Callahan!

Linda is a dear friend of mine. She is on my Freshly Made Sketches Design Team and she designs for Pals Paper Arts! Not only a talented designer, Linda is a retired school teacher (34 years) and a proud grandma! I am so happy to have her with us this month! Welcome, Linda.

This week we have a colour combo with a twist! 

We are looking for a Christmas card 

with Red, Aqua, White and Circles!!!

I decided to play along with the current Freshly Made Sketch, designed by Rita and the "critter" theme from Jaydee at the Paper Players! This was just the inspiration I needed for my new Purple Onion Designs stamps I wanted to ink up! 

I used my Stampin' Up circle punches to create some "homes" for my little animals. I had so much fun colouring them with my Copics. I used a little heart, to stamp the sentiment and accent it with a small wooden snowflake.

I used the Purple Onion Designs stamps called Icicle, Snowy and Filbert.

How to play with the Merry Monday Christmas Card Club:

1. Each week there will be a brand new challenge posted on Monday at 5am (PST).
2. The challenge will be either a theme, an inspiration photo, a sketch or a colour combo.
3. Each participant is encouraged to comment on 3 cards in the Gallery. (Who doesn't love comments!)
4. Have fun!
5. Follow the weekly challenge closely.

Ho-ho-ho!!! So many amazing Santa stamps, paper and images! We loved getting into the holiday spirit with you! Thank you for all the commenting you are doing on the cards of others as well! I love seeing all the kind words of praise! Makes me feel SO Christmassy!!!

The Shabby Tea Room and a Happy Birthday To Tracey McNeely!

Time for a brand new challenge at the Shabby Tearoom! This week we have a party going on!! The challenge this week is to create a card/project which includes banners & cakes/cupcakes with orange and/or yellow. This card was also created in honour of my dear friend, Tracey McNeely. Not only is she really easy to chat with, she is super talented too. Happy Birthday, sweet lady! I am linking up to her birthday hop! LINK UP here.

This card was something a little different for me. I wanted to create something a little more "feminine" but also clean lined. The pansy punch from Stampin' Up was my starting point, and so I created some Fall flowers, to achieve the yellow in my card. I used the Paper Sweeties stamp called  So Sweet of You. I also used the Stampin' Up Cupcake punch. There is a lot going on with this card...a cork pin, a die cut banner, some pearls and a die cut lacy circle...oh and some lace ribbon too...

Fresh Squeezed Stamps Design Team!!!

I have been holding in this news since the end of September! I am bursting! I am absolutely thrilled to be designing on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps team!! Hooray!!! Thank you to Ryann and Shannon for this awesome opportunity!

I found Fresh Squeezed Stamps through my bloggy pal, Amy Tsuruta last spring. I LOVE the fresh feel and cute designs! I have had the chance to make a few cards in the past with their sets. My favourite set is called Hot, Hot, Hot! I love coffee!!!

My first DT post will be on November 7th!!! I am SO excited! Can you tell! *grin*

Today we are announcing our new Design Team over at Dynamic Duos! I cannot believe we are introducing our fourth team! Where does the time go?!

I was also pretty excited to share my second Purple Onion Designs design team creation! This sweet girl reminds me of the character in Frosty the Snowman! I had so much fun colouring her sweet little jacket and mittens!!!

Purple Onion Designs {From Our Home to Yours}

Today I am playing along with a couple of challenges! At Paper Issues, we are sponsoring the current Curtain Call Challenge and the theme is "Welcome Home". So I went to work and played along with a stamp set from Purple Onion Designs. It is called Vintage Snowflake Set by Paislee Press Designs. I also thought this would work perfectly with the current "Falling for You" Challenge over at Paper Issues.

I immediately thought of Christmas and the holidays...so many people get to go home for the holidays but then again, so many people do not. I am lucky enough to live close to my immediate family and I can be on their doorstep in 90 minutes! My hubby's family is a 6 hour plane ride and then a 2 hour drive away...which means we certainly cherish the time we do get to spend together!

There are a lot of great challenges going on in blogland right now...I wanted to play along with a few!

Celebrating Torico {A Blog Hop!}

Today I am sharing a very special post about the digital stamp designer, Torico. Torico (Yoshie) creates the most adorable digital stamps you have ever seen! She is also a designer for There She Goes Stamps. I love, love, love her images so much! On top of all that, Torico is such a kind and lovely person. She was one of the first Featured Designers at my Merry Monday Challenge almost 2 years ago and she was such a joy to work with.

Torico made an announcement on her digital stamp blog a couple of weeks ago. She is closing her digital store. I am so sad about this but I know it is the right decision for her. She will still be designing for There She Goes stamps!!! Thank goodness!!!

We wanted to create a special blog hop for her...showcasing her adorable images! Myself and some of the designers of There She Goes stamps, have created a blog hop to showcase her digital images.
