The Paper Players Challenge #86-{Springy Colours from Me!}

Sunday again! Wow the weeks sure go fast! This week I am excited to be the Paper Players hostess and I got to choose the colours for our monthly colour challenge. I decided to go with a springy feel and used some of the In Colours. I created three square cards for the challenge, I love this sweet set from Stampin' Up called "Everybunny".

Freshly Made Sketches #25-A Sketch by Linda Callahan and the Colour Q

Wednesday is here and that means another sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. The lovely Linda Callahan is our Sketch Artist this week and she created an awesome sketch for us to play with!  This week we are also welcoming our March Guest Designers Narelle and Allisa. I am so excited to have them join us this month!! Welcome ladies!

I just purchased some wonderful new goodies from Stampin' Up and I was excited to get them inky! I loved the colours over at the Colour Q and decided to take my inspiration from them!

I inked up two Sale-A-Bration Sets called "Elementary Elegance" and "Kindness Matters".  I used my Stampin' Write Markers to colour the images.  The French Script background is from Hero Arts. I decided to go with very light layers.

Merry Monday #10 {Meet Featured Designer, Sandi MacIver}

In fact, she asked me to join her design team at the time for the 10 Minute or Less Challenge. The crazy thing is, Sandi and I have a mutual friend, Shelagh and well, let's just say it is so funny how connected we are!!!  I loved Sandi's work, she is a trendsetter and truly creates the most beautiful cards!  Welcome Sandi!

Merry Monday Challenge #9 Winner and this week's Prize Winner

Hey there stamping friends! I hope your weekend has been happy thus far, I got the chance to see a student of mine perform in the Sound of Music last night and I was so proud. He even mentioned me and a colleague of mine in the program, isn't that so thoughtful! He is a talented performer and was the lead in our school musical 2 years ago. He had never done a show before that school experience, and now he is fully into Musical Theatre!  This is why I am proud to be a teacher!

What a wonderful group of Christmas cards this week at Merry Monday, I loved viewing them all, and sure had a difficult time choosing one winner.  I kept looking at Patti's pretty card, and I just loved that she used the scalloped designed paper at the bottom of the main panel. The poinsettia is also very pretty and I thought, this is one spectacular Christmas card!!! Patti has also played along for 8 out of 9 of the challenges!! Awesome! Congratulations Patti, I hope you can join me as a Guest Designer for Monday, March 12th! I will email you soon.

Paper Players, JUGS and Pals Paper Arts

What a wonderful day we had here! Spring has Sprung, it was sunny and warm all day! I hope tomorrow brings similar weather.  This week at the Paper Players, Jaydee is challenging us with a theme challenge all about Spring. This week we are also welcoming our new Design Team members Heidi and Jenn. We also have a fabulous Guest Designer for March, Sherry. Welcome ladies!!

I decided to use the sketch over at Just US Girls and the Colours at Pals Paper Arts.  My card is extremely clean and simple...not a lot happening here but it is another card that I can add a sentiment to when I need a card for a certain occasion.

Stamping 411 and the Colour Q

Just a quick post tonight, before I head to bed! I saw the great sketch over at Stampin' 411 and combined it with the happy colours at Colour Q.  

I inked up the Stampin' Up set called Apothecary Art and used the new Framelit Dies.  The images were coloured with my Stampin' Write Markers. I embossed the white background with the stripes embossing folder but it is hard to see.  I had so much fun colouring this image!! I love this new set!!

A Brand New Look and Merry Monday Reminder!

So...do you notice something new? Yep! A new blog look for me and I am as pleased as punch!  As some of you may know, I love to design blogs for others but for some reason, I just have been unable to create a look that I loved for myself!  I think I have created about 5 different looks for myself in the past year!  So I found Lindsay over at Happypotamus Designs. I am so thrilled with the look she created! Thank you Lindsay!!!

Also I have some fun new features on my blog to share:

1. My pinterest and my facebook pages are linked in my blog banner...look for the "F" and the "P".
2. The Merry Monday Sketches will be all together under the tab called "Past Merry Monday Sketches" at the top! I am working on that right now!

So, do you think this new look is me?  I love Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Baja Breeze, and the flowers are so much fun!! At first I wondered if the look was too modern for me but I really love the clean lines and the bright happy feel!!!  Lindsay was so wonderful to work with, she is truly a professional!
