Yesterday morning I announced that I did not make it into the Top 5 at Gallery Idol. I received an email late yesterday afternoon from my stamping friend Sherry Eckblad, congratulating me on being in the Top 5 at Gallery Idol.
I wondered what she was talking about but then in my inbox, further down was an email from Holly at Paper Crafts Magazine. The email from Holly, instructed me to look at the Top 5 announcement again and so I did. And this is what I saw...
Although this announcement should have been full of joy and happiness for me, it did come with mixed feelings. I have worried all night about what to write, to let my friends and family know of this news. Many of you have been emailing me or writing to me on FACEBOOK, and so I wanted to address it here.
So I am just going to say, how honoured I am to have this chance to compete. Again, I accept the challenge with mixed emotions but will try my best.
Thank you for your support and love.
Big congrats Lesley ♡♡♡

ReplyDeleteI don't know what kind of mixed feelings you are having but I think you more than deserve the honor. Your card making is top notch and you are an inspiration to many.
ReplyDeleteI understand your mixed feelings Lesley. However, it is what it is and you now have a fantastic opportunity before you. Don't hold back! You are very talented and deserve to be there as much as anyone. :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why the mixed emotions either -- did I miss something? Go with the flow girl and keep creating fabulous cards! I can't wait to see what you do for this next challenge -- I voted for you last round!
ReplyDeleteWell, this sounds a little cray-cray to me and I'm sorry for whatever happened that dampened your joy and enthusiasm, Lesley. Do NOT let it seep into your creative juices and hinder that amazing spirit you have! Use whatever happened to fuel it!! Be the BEST that you can be, which is very, very BESTEST!! Hugs! Darnell
ReplyDeleteGo girl - and don't look back!

ReplyDeleteHi Lesley - I'm just catching up on your news (I had voted for you on a couple of the rounds). I just wanted to say that for what its worth I am so proud of you!! I am just absolutely amazed at how you've stretched yourself with the different challenges and styles and how you have completely excelled and keep moving ahead. Your cards have always been a source of joy and inspiration to me - but you really went all out for this. I don't know what happened and I'm sorry that you have mixed emotions - but embrace it and know that things happen for a reason, even if we don't fully understand that reason.
