This week at Freshly Made Sketches, we are creating a square card but you don't have to make it Square...feel free to make the sketch fit an A2 card!
The first card used the Always Thankful set and the new Hand-Penned Sentiments set. I didn't emboss the images but stamped them in Early Espresso.
The second card used Versa Mark and some clear embossing powder mixed with Espresso Ink...what card do you think works better?
Please visit us at Freshly Made Sketches to link up your card before noon next Monday! The design team has some gorgeous samples to share....

Yowza! I LOVE the embossed version! Gorgeous card, Lesley!
ReplyDeleteI vote embossed - just stands out beautifully against the blue! Such a pretty fall card - love that tiny clip - it's all about the details! And thanks for the sletch - I love square cards!
ReplyDeleteI vote embossed as well. The darker image stands out more and looks gorgeous with that blue. Very pretty fall cards.
ReplyDeleteWonderful card! Love the image!
ReplyDeleteI vote embossed! So much more vibrant! Gorgeous cards! ;o)
ReplyDeleteI vote embossed for sure! Looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBoth are very nice, but the embossed card is stunning. The image pops and is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteOh, definitely embossed. That one makes quite a statement! I love how you've added the library clip - yet another embellishment I've never used!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, Lesley - I think they both work perfectly. The softness of the un-embossed and the sharpness of the embossed...it pops perfectly.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, beautiful colour and definitely love the embossed version. x
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm in the minority, but I really like the unembossed one. But, I wouldn't mind receiving either one, that's for sure!!
ReplyDeleteI love the embossed version, Lesley! It really shows off the sentiment and that image to perfection! Love the Spice Cake background. Can you believe I still haven't opened my pack yet? I just look at it lovingly and sigh because it's so soothing!
