Merry Monday Challenge #12- {For the Birds}

Welcome to another week at Merry Monday!  The idea behind this challenge is to get a head start on your Christmas cards!  Each week, I choose one Merry Monday Winner who will then be a Guest Designer for a future challenge!  So get out your Christmas supplies and let's get to work!   

This week's sketch is REALLY simple...I wanted to be able to create a card quickly and I wanted to use some of the Christmas paper I hoard stash away in my drawers.  So here it is, what do you think?  I must say, this card is made from "recycled" stuff from my "need to use drawer", that includes the ribbon and the card base in Real Red. Aren't the birds so "tweet".

Merry Monday Challenge Winner {A Little Later than Usual}

Whew! A whirlwind of a weekend has just happened and we had a blast!! As I mentioned in my post yesterday, Corey and I just celebrated 5 years of marriage yesterday! We went for a lovely dinner and then spent the evening in the city, chatting and just hanging out. I took some fun photos and will try to share them soon!  Thank you to all of my blogging friends for your sweet comments on yesterday's post!!! They were so lovely to read!

There were so many wonderful cards this week but I just kept coming back to Carol's soft and pretty creation! I love the monochromatic colours and the snowflakes on her card! 5 Years of Married Bliss....

Five years ago today, I walked down the aisle toward my bestest pal and we exchanges vows. Then at the end of a few missed words, lots of laughter and some tears, we did the jig back down the aisle toward our future together...(and yes, I wore Crocs on my feet! Hehehe!)

And what an adventure it has been thus far! I have to say, being married to Corey has been pretty wonderful, we have lots of fun together!  Today I am being whisked away for a romantic trip, we are going to the city where we were married; going to walk around, visit some of the local sites and have fun!!!  I wanted to wish you, my friends, a day full of blessings and happiness.  I thought I would share some photos from our special day...

Freshly Made Sketch #26, Our Creative Corner and Exciting News!

 

Good morning! Today is Wednesday and that means a brand new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! This week's sketch is by the talented Jen Mitchell. She has created a wonderful sketch for us to use, I know you will have fun with it! I sure did!  I also used the fun challenge at Our Creative Corner using the top line of the grid- {Pink, Flowers and Brads}

Merry Monday Challenge #11 [Snow Much Fun}

Welcome to another week at Merry Monday!  The whole idea behind this weekly challenge is to get a jump start on your Christmas cards for 2012.  So far we have 10 Christmas cards made! My sketch this week is one that you can twist and turn, change the oval shape and make your own!  I did all of the above!! Here is my card below. I hope you like it!!

This week I decided to ink up a brand new set for me from Stampin' Up called "Snow Much Fun" and I used a non-traditional colour scheme, with Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade.  The main image was stamped in Stazon and then coloured with my Stampin' Write markers. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is inked in Poppy Parade. My monthly Featured Designer Sandi MacIver and Guest Designer Patti Corriere, have created beautiful cards this week, be sure to stop by their blogs to leave them a comment.

Cardabilities Sketch #50 {Happy Easter}

Another post today! Wow, I am on a roll! If you are looking for my Paper Players Post, please click HERE. I wanted to play along with the current sketch at Cardabilities.  I love trying new sketches that push me out of my comfort zone and this one really did! I turned the sketch on its side.

I just adore this sweet Bunny set from Stampin' Up, one can never have too many cute sets!! Plus it is fun to colour. I used my neglected Stampin' Write Markers for the job, in Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride and Pool Party. The sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped in Pool Party Ink. I had some wee roses in my stash and decided to add them to this card, to add a feminine touch!!!

Merry Monday Challenge #10 Winner

Thank you to everyone who joined me for Merry Monday this past week. I am so happy you are enjoying my sketches, it is a challenge for me to think up new ones for the month!  Eeep!! Some of them may begin to look the same as the others, I hope I can keep creating "original" layouts throughout the year! **grin**

The winner of last week's sketch challenge is Bonnie Klass. Bonnie created a STUNNING card that just made my jaw drop! I love the holly leaves and berries, and that window! Do you see the warm glow from the Christmas tree on the inside? How amazing is that! And all on white on white just made this card a standout for me!!!
