Boy, it has been a stressful week. I won't get into it too much but I am a teacher and at this time of year job postings come out. I have my dream job at my dream school...I love it there. I have 10 years of seniority and was finally feeling secure. Unfortunately, the decision was made to close our school and so I have been without a job for next year and waiting to hear about one. Yep...stressful.
Well today I heard...
And next year I am teaching full-time Grade 1 at a school not far from my home. Not my #1 choice...but a close 2nd and for that I am grateful. Truly.
Now onto my card! Today I am playing with those lovely ladies over at CASOLOGY and their current challenge is to create a clean and simple card using flowers. This was super easy to whip up and it was nice to create a single layer card front...I did fussy cut the flowers and pop them up for some dimension. Also rounded the bottom right corner for some "pizzazz"! This is a Stampin' Up set that is retiring...but I will never part with it...it is a FAVOURITE of mine.
A clean and simple card...and an bit of stress free fun...
Oooooh those stamps, I am wondering if they are the same as the other ones you use that are on my list now.
ReplyDeleteUmmmm miss, you kinda seriously ROCK the CAS category here!!! Of course I am not surprised at all!

ReplyDeleteAs a former teacher, I can empathize with the stresses that come at this time of year, especially when your 'dream job' disappears. Politics are heard to contend with (which explains why I resigned from teaching...if opportunity arose I'd consider going back part time, maybe...). On the plus side, super congrats on the new position, where I know you will make a positive impact on those little ones. You and your creativity...those kids are in for a major treat!! Your card is absolutely gorgeous with its clean simplicity. Quite the impact...
