My desire to make cards has been low this past month or so. I have been looking around at all the amazing cards being made out there and still, no MOJO! Ugh! Tonight I forced myself to sit down at my cluttered desk (could be the reason for my lack of inspiration) and create a card! I used the colours at the Paper Players and the awesome sketch at Stampin' 411.
Both challenges were fun to do! I decided to use my Two by Two stamp, it is a new one and I was worrying about having to colour it but then decided I wouldn't colour it and instead, let the Not Quite Navy ink do all the work! What do you think? It is pretty simple but I think it works...
A clean and oh so simple card! Quick and easy, which was nice! I hope you get the chance to join the teams at the Paper Players and
Stampin' 411. If you have any questions about my card, please leave me a comment, I will be happy to answer them!
What a fantastic card, Lesley! I love that two by two stamp set :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the clean, crisp look of the NQN outline stamping on the all white panel, Lesley. It's such a different look to your previous sample with this image, but they both look fabulous! :)
ReplyDeleteLove this card. This certainly doesn't look like a loss of mojo - great use of the colors and sketch.
ReplyDeleteI love this card!!! It is just perfect. Colors, layout, CAS, the little ribbon - Perfect! TFS!!

ReplyDeleteI think it works beautifully! It doesn't need another thing! It's good to see you back designing!
ReplyDeleteI see no lack of mojo here Lesley, darling card!!
ReplyDeleteTHis is absolutely adorable...what a cute image and you made the whole thing look so EASY! Glad you were able to get in some stamping!
ReplyDeleteI think your mojo looks great from this side. That card is adorable and I love that sweet image. Thanks so much for playing along with us on the Stamping 411 challenge.
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! It's wonderful without coloring, too. One more reason for me to buy this stamp!
ReplyDeleteI really Iike this!! Sometimes no coloring is the best technique of all. I've just come across a couple of older Christmas stamps like that and I can't wait to try this.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Karen
So glad you had time to create just for fun! Spot on use of the sketch and I love the image not colored in--it really pops off the white! So glad you joined us this week...been thinking about you...((hugs))
ReplyDeleteI love how simple this is! I'm always painstakingly colouring it in with watercolour, but I think I might try it this way too. Thanks for sharing and I do hope you find your MOJO soon! :)
ReplyDeleteSweet as can be! Love the clean look!
ReplyDeleteHi Lesley! I think your MOJO is just fine! I know what you mean tho...I haven't felt much like making cards lately either. I like this one alot! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this card. I have two new grandsons and this would be such a cute card for them.

I think you did a great job on this card. I was having a bit of a hard time with this stamp too and if just dawned on me - it doesn't HAVE to be colored! Glad you joined in at The Paper Players!
ReplyDeleteYup, and FUN this is!! Such a cute card and I love that you just used the image without coloring it in. Nope. No mojo-loss here...looks like you just need to keep on stampin! Hee hee! Big hugs, friend! :)
