Got home tonight after a lovely night out with my family, only to be inspired by a wonderful colour combo at Just Add Ink. I have been slow with my card making lately, a little burned out and unwilling to cut into paper. Once I saw the awesome colours though, I KNEW what I wanted to make.
I used Tui's pretty sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and went from there. At first I was going to choose a flower stamp but the "Lacy and Lovely" set caught my eye! So I inked up the largest medallion in Garden Green and the smaller medallion in Chocolate Chip. The card base is in fact, Kraft, from a non SU! company. I was all out of Crumb Cake paper but desperately wanted to play along, so I chose the closest "Kraft" colour I could find. The side panel is embossed and I added a medallion stamped on the inside of the card too! I had so much fun creating this card! Thank you to both teams for the wonderful challenges!
As always, please email me if you have any questions!
It's a beautiful card, Lesley! It sounds like Mr. Mojo is coming back to you, slowly but surely. That's a very good thing for the rest of us who create for the fun of it, and who are inspired by your cards. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Lesley! You did a great job of combining the sketch with the colour combo (which is a tough one IMHO). I Love the way you used the "lacy" image and I'm glad you played along with us at JAI this week.
ReplyDeleteOh I do love those medallion stamps and how you can adapt them to make them pop. Love the way you have made yours pop. Sandy :)
