SASSC#21-Small and Bright

This card was created for the Stamps and Smiles Sketch Challenge. I decided to make a little 4x4 card, I was using some scraps (being environmental) and they fit perfectly on my little card!
Here is the sketch with which I worked. I would have used my nesties to create the oval but alas I broke my C Plate on my Cuttlebug! The image is from SU! Heartfelt Thanks Set and I stamped the image in Memento Rich Cocoa and coloured the flower with my copics. I added some pink stick-on pearls to accent the image. The sentiment is from another Stampin' Up set.

Thanks for looking!

I worked out the measurements in inches and here is what I came up with:
ATC- 2.5"x3.5"
Twinchies- 2"x2"
Inchies-1"x1"
I hope you have a chance to check out the other design team members blogs and their beautiful submissions!
Hope you play along with our challenge!

Charisma Cards- Anything goes...

I made this card for the Charisma Card Challenge...they are accepting any theme or idea. I needed to make some baby cards and so I pulled out my "Sweet Pea" set from Pink Cat and inked it up!! The giraffe is coloured with my copics B95, W1 and YG93. The "little star" is coloured with E00 and his teddy is coloured with W1. I highlighted the image with W1 and used my paper piercer and mat to paper pierce around the edges. The DSP is SU! Not Quite Navy. Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo Monday Week #92 and Pile it On

This card was made for 2 challenges:

I had this Bittersweet DSP by Basic Grey and decided to use it. The ribbon is the Chocolate Satin Ribbon put out by SU! a while ago. I bought a slightly used roll at a stamping garage sale a couple of weeks ago. There is still lots left on the roll! The bird image is a clear set that I also got at the garage sale made by Inkadinkado. I sponged the edges in Rich Cocoa Memento with a large sponge dauber. The sentiment is from a 2008 Sale-A-Bration set.

Three Clovers and Pile it On

Well I was off to bed and then visited Vickilyn's blog and saw her pretty card for the Pile it On Challenge this week. I saw that the other challenge she used was from the Three Clover blog which was to make a single layer card. I used Vanilla...and scored my 11" card at 5" and 51/2". Then I folder my card in half and folded the two smaller sections back. Then I punched some slits in the top of my tent card and pulled the ribbon through...and then weaved it back out again. I used my scored tool to make a box on the card face. Then I coloured my stamp with purple, blue and old olive and stamped it in the middle of the box. I used my acrylic word set to stamp the word happiness on the top. I was thinking this card would be nice copied into a set of 4 for a gift set. Maybe I will try that tomorrow?

Thanks for stopping by!!!

The Scrumptious Pile It On Challenge (I made the top three scoops!!!) and the Fabulous Penny Black Challenge (Embossing)

My card is at the end of this post...I just had to share some wedding photos from today!! :)

My cousin Dan and his lovely bride, Danica. I wish the picture had turned out better! I am still learning how to use my camera. I was at a family wedding all day today and just got home. I was so thrilled to see that I made the top three scoops this week at Pile It On!! I won for this card!! What a great way to end my day! Thank you to Vickilyn and Dalis for choosing my card! It is actually the card I gave to my cousin and his bride today!!The first guy (left to right) is my husband Corey, then my cousin's husband Pete and my sister's boyfriend Rob. They were having some fun! (Goofballs! :) This is a partial family photo, complete with Aunts, Uncles, Sister and my sweetie in the back row!My husband Corey and I...being goofy as usual. It was an outdoor wedding and absolutely freezing, the weather changed and so we had to wear our jackets.
When I got home and saw I won, I was so happy that I was inspired to make this card for the new Pile it On Challenge! Here are the challenges I used to make this card!

1. Pile it On: to use purple on your card
2. Penny Black Challenge: to use embossing and a Penny Black Challenge.

I inked the edges with my large sponge dauber and some SU! River Rock (Why don't they make this colour one of their neutrals!! I LOVED it! Of course it is retired now...sigh) The image is from Penny Black and it is supposed to be poppies but I made them purple...with my BV00 Copic Marker. I used my Script CB folder to do the embossing...I think that is one of my favourite folders!!!

Stamps and Smiles Project Tuesday

Project Tuesday over at Stamps and Smiles issued a challenge to make an Origami Box. I must say, I was a little intimidated but I followed the directions found here on SCS.
The box was actually quite easy to make and fun too!! I decided to use my new Sweet Sampler set from SU! I bought it today in a garage sale. I inked the background image in Soft Sky and stamped the sentiment from Elegant Cheer (also SU!) in black. Then I added a Prima Flower and a little ribbon to the side.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pile It On #2 and Raspberry Suite #9

This card was made for two challenges.
1. Pile it On-Ribbon (use two ribbons)
2. Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge (Green, Black and Cream)I used my Hero Arts French Script stamp and my Stampendous Butterfly Set.

The ribbon I used was a golden creamy sheer and a black sheer. I sliced the ribbons with my scissors to add long individual strips and then I used my scissors to fray them...just like you would on a gift with gift ribbon...except the ends on the sheer ribbon get both frayed and curled. Thanks for stopping by!!

SASSC19-Thank You

I made this card for the Stamps and Smiles SC#19. I made it a few hours ago but my camera battery was done. So I had to recharge it. I used Only Orange and Gable Green cardstock (my order just came in from SU!) and some DSP from My Mind's Eye. The white circle is embossed with my bubbles CB folder. I poked little holes into the scalloped circle. Carl the Cupcake is coloured with copics, cut out and popped up. I added a white ribbon and a little photo corner which I punched out with my new punch.

SCS SC#232 and Colour Throwdown #46

This card was created for the Colour Throwdown #46 and the SCS SC#232. I wanted to create a soft and pretty card that would highlight the stamp. The little brad and ribbon were added at the end...I took a risk with them!! I had to get this card finished tonight for Vickilyn. She challenged me to make a card tonight! I used my SU! Markers to colour the stamp and then huffed it. The sentiment is stamped in brocade blue. I used the small oval punch for the sentiment which is from Garden Greetings. I used the Scallop Edge Punch to create the scallops on the middle strip which is white on white. The white panel is embossed with the Woodgrain EF from Cuttlebug and the So Saffron paper is embossed with Swiss Dots.

Thanks for looking! Please leave me a comment so I may come and check out your blog!
Happy Stamping!

365-Sketch Challenge (Believe)

I made this card for the 365 Days Sunday Sketch Challenge. I must admit, I found this sketch to be a real challenge. I liked the challenge though!

I decided to use my Wonderous Gift Set by SU!. The triangle seemed like a Christmas Tree to me.

Mojo#90-Cherish

I just finished my Mojo Card and decided to upload to my blog. I noticed a new comment on my last card so I just HAD to look!! My newly found blogging pal, Vickilyn, had left me a comment on my last card!! It read "Mojo is done...I am waiting on you! LOL".
Hahaha!! Love it!! I can't wait to go over and check out her card!! We always post around the same time for the same challenges! It is hilarious!!
This card was inspired by today's Mojo Sketch. I really wanted to create something special for my cousin and his soon to be bride. I love working with this blue colour. The butterfly is from Stampendous (clear set) and is stamped in black craft ink and then embossed in black glittery EB powder. I then cut it out and coloured it with my light blue Copic. The white center square is EB with a small CB Folder and I added a black brad to the center of the flower. I used the scallop oval and large oval punches for the sentiment. The sentiment is also from a clear set I have had for a while...can't remember the brand. The background is vellum and underneath the vellum I stamped my Hero Arts French Script background stamp. The vellum was cut to size and is held on by 4 glue dots, one in each corner. The ribbon is from Michael's. It is called Celebrate It by Sheer Creation and has 20 yards on one spool!! If you time the sales right, you can buy this ribbon 2 for $5!! My friend Glenda hooked me onto this sheer ribbon!

Thanks for stopping by!!

SFYTT-Happy Father's Day

I made this card for the SFYTT Challenge. The sketch was really fun! I decided to create a 5x5 square card as my base. The owl and sentiment are from Pink Cat Studio Stamps. I love these Owls. The DSP paper is something I found when I was cleaning out my paper yesterday!! Yippee!! I paper pieced the owl's sweater with the DSP and the flag too!

I used the large oval punch and the label punch from SU! to frame my sentiment. The Father's Day sentiment is from A Muse. I added some 5/8" Red Grosgrain to the side...I love grosgrain ribbon!

Brand New Challenge Blog!! Piling it On Baby!! (DT Submission)

This card was made for the "Pile it On" Debut Challenge to use a "Non-Stamped Sentiment". I cut out each of these letters by hand! My cricut mat is all done and I really need a new one with some sticking power!! I am happy with how the letters came out!
My other challenges that I "Piled On" were:

CPS Card Sketch #119-a really fun sketch!
2Red Bananas Challenge-"Pattern Frenzy" which was to use 3 or more pattern papers!

I made this card using a Dreamweaver Stencil which I sponged with SU! Blue Bayou ink. Then I distressed the card sides with my scissors and inked them up too! I punched a couple of stars out of DSP and added them to the card face.

Sketch Saturday-Inspired by Mandy

These cards were inspired by Mandy's Sketch over at Sketch Saturday. I did not follow the sketch exactly but was inspired by it and loved making these three Thank You cards. I actually hauled out my Cropidile and put it to work on the photo corners. That was great! Haven't used it for such a long time! The images are from a retired set I bought from my SU! Enabler...oops...I mean Demonstrator!! LOL! It is called "In the Wild". I really love how it stamps.
