SugarPea Designs {One Year Anniversary}

SugarPea Designs is so excited to be celebrating our 1st Birthday – and what an amazing year it has been!! We are celebrating this momentous occasion with a Blog Hop featuring our AMAZING SugarPea design team and some very talented Special Guests!

Today I am featuring a card and a matching gift card holder using the new Classroom Cupids set! I LOVE owls and so I stamped the owl three times onto my white paper. I then fussy cut out the middle owl, to give my card some depth. I coloured the owl's bellies with mu Copic markers and then I took the sentiments from two other stamp sets in the SugarPea Designs Store to make my sentiment on my card!

  

I used the sketch at The Challenge and the colours at Just Us Girls, for my card! I am also linking up at Seize the Birthday!

 For my card I really wanted to ink up the Verve "Bloom & Grow" stamp set again. I like the beautiful sentiments with Verve Stamps. I also used the Plain Jane Stamp Set called Beautiful. I am such a sucker for scrolling fonts!

My amazing team has outdone themselves!!! I love working with these talented ladies!!! A special thank you to Angel for being our Guest this month! We loved having you, Angel!

Tag, You're It {Thanks a Bunch -Verve}

Happy Saturday! I decided to jump into my craftroom last night and I really tidied it up! Although it is FAR from being done, it is much tidier than before and I was inspired to get crafty! I have to admit, that has not happened for me for SUCH a long time. I have been a miserable crafter...held back by my deeply cluttered craft space! I have also stepped down from a couple of design teams. It was a difficult decision to make but I couldn't keep up. So I have vowed to make this year about getting back to the basics and crafting for fun when I want to craft! I must admit, it feels good!

One challenge that I always check out but never have time to play is the Tag, You're It Challenge. I love making tags and found this week's inspiration so pretty! I immediately thought of a new Verve stamp set I just purchased called Bloom & Grow.

 

I was inspired by the colours and added some aqua accents with a couple of enamel dots for the centers of the flowers. I kept my tag clean and simple. 

Sugar Sketch #18 {Thanks a Bunch}

Today at SugarPea Designs, we have a brand new sketch challenge. The sketch is a nice, easy one and you do not have to use our stamps to play along; although we like it when you do! I decided to ink up one of the new release stamp sets again! Love this sweet fox and he provides good practice for colouring fur! I decided to create a masculine themed thank you card!

The sketch is pretty straight forward and I added some twine...to balance the fox. I sure hope you will play along with us. Happy Stamping!

The final day for the release hop is on at SugarPea Designs! This is such a sweet new set! I love that sentiment!!!! I wanted to use the new envelope die on my card and decided to use it as an accent for the card.

I used three layers of twine on my card too...I find twine is a nice and easy way to add a bold, splash of colour without a lot of bulk.

I have been addicted to this paper from My Mind's Eye. I believe it is an old paper pad but I found it on sale at Winners! AWESOME! I thought the pink and dark colours worked well with this sweet little fairy!
