Seize the Sketch {A Goodbye}

Hello stamping friends! After much consideration, I have decided to close Seize the Sketch. It was a difficult decision for me to make but I know it is the correct decision for me at this time. I am working on spending less time on the computer and more time "living". I think the walking I have been doing combined with the weight loss has made me realize how much I need to slow down with technology and get outside a little more. So I am slowly making some changes. Thank you to my amazing team for all of their hard work and dedication. You have been wonderful to work with! A special thank you to Jen Mitchell...for helping with the posts.

Now onto the final sketch, from Cathy!
Wow, what a great sketch! I love the simplicity of it and I hope you will too.

Please excuse the photo...my main camera is full of holiday photos and I was unable to use it for this card. So I took a quick shot with my camera phone. I used some Verve again, so happy I have discovered these stamps and kept my design simple.

Come and play along at Seize the Sketch! Thank you for your support with this challenge!

  2. well I know that I am going to miss your sketches, although I wasn't a regular player (not nearly as much as I wanted to). I get it on the walking & getting more fit, I'm trying to get myself into more exercise too! I'm proud of you even if I will miss you :-)

  3. Good for you and I couldn’t agree more! This computer takes away so much of our time. Thank you for letting me be apart of the team for a while. Yay for loosing weight!
    Love the card and pink umbrella!

  4. It's so easy to fall into the online rabbit hole (and of course our bodies reflect that with less energy and more...fluff. lol) Kudos to you for making the right decision for you! I've been so honoured to be on the team, and I feel like I've really stretched and grown here. I'll definitely be sticking around your blog to see what you create :)

  5. Now I have that song stuck in my head "Ella..ella..eh..eh...eh..." LOL. What a sweet card Lesley - and your pic looks great, I know how you feel though, I've been using a backup camera for a few weeks and I'm just dying to get my best one back! I will miss being a part of the STS team with you and all the other ladies :) Much loves to you!

  10. This is so so sweet, Lesley! Love the simplicity of it and the monochromatic pink. It has been such an honor to be on your Design Team and I am truly going to miss it. I have no idea how you ever handled so much in the first place and I understand your need for changes; It is still a sad day. :( Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!

  11. I agree with Katie....now I'm singing along LOL....Lesley, you never cease to amaze...you are such an inspiration and to acknowledge that you need to make some changes for the betterment of your health/lifestyle, I couldn't be more proud of you. I am so honored that I have been able to work so closely with you (as I always admired you and your blogs in cyber land) and I will miss STS but I cannot WAIT to see what new and exciting things come from your direction. Love and hugs girl xoxoxo

  12. Super sad about Seize the Sketch but totally understandable. I'm trying to 'move more' so I know what you mean. It's so easy to sit in front of the computer or sit in the craft room.
    Your card is absolutely wonderful...I have a thing for umbrellas. love the sentiment.

  13. Your decision to "move more" is one to be applauded, as well as being a source of inspiration for many of us. I, too, spend too much time on the computer 'wandering,' when I should be exercising, reading or, just as important, making cards. Creativity happens when 'doing', rather than only 'viewing.' I'll miss Seize the Sketch (wish there was a way to keep it going, and if you have inklings of how to do so, I'd be happy to help behind the scenes), but respect your decision. Health and well-being are priorities; they have to be! Your card: pure delight! I have that set - but it's still NBUS!! You've given me incentive to ink it up!! I know you'll still be crafting, so that's a plus - and I'll certainly continue to gaze and admire...

  16. Well, Miss Lesley, you know I am sad that STS is over. :( I only had a short time on your team, but loved EVERY minute of it. (even though I was a hard sell at first - phooey on me) I completely understand about spending more time living, instead of being on the computer. That is how I've been feeling for a while now. It is harder and harder to drag myself over to the computer, because when I'm not on it, I feel more in the present.

    You enjoy your time doing what you want to do, with those you love, and know that you have a friend for life in me. Whenever we cross paths, my heart will always be open to you. :) Biggest of hugs!!
