This card was made for the Colour Throwdown and for the Fall to Layout challenges. I love these two sites but I have been unable to play due to being sick. But today I felt great and ready to craft!!!
As soon as I saw the colour combo, I knew I had to use this cute little tree from Cornish Heritage Farms. It belongs in an entire primitive christmas set that I love!! I need to ink it up more!! The DSP is a scrap I had, happy to use it!! It had all the right colours!! I used my piercer and mat pack to make little holes all around the image and the main panel. I thought this stamp set kinda suited that style!

I hope you like it. It is a quirky image, but I love it's sweetness...it really captures the whole "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree feeling...I added a little bow made of out soft sky ribbon...I don't know if I am happy with that? Is it too much?
Thanks for stopping by!
Smiles,

ReplyDeleteLesley, gorgeous job with both challenges. I think the way you incorporated the color challenge was genius! Fabulous job and thanks for bringing a smile with your card.

ReplyDeleteOh, Lesley, I love that sweet little tree! Thanks so much for playing the Color Throwdown with us!
ReplyDeleteA-DOR-able design! That tree is too cute, and I love how you used these colors for Christmas! Thanks for playing the Throwdown!
ReplyDeleteWhat a totally cute card!
ReplyDeleteYou're right! You do have a Wonder Dog! Love your card too - now I'm going to have to go order that set from Cornish Farms. The tree is too cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm sooooo sad to see that for some reason my comment didn't "stick" the first time I came by! WAH! I noticed it disappeared, but then I thought you had one of those blogs that needed owner approval.. Boo Hooo! Well, you're gonna have to trust me: when I popped in a few days ago ~ I raved and raved about your lovely Charlie Brown tree and how "all it needed was a little love..." which CLEARLY you gave it! Yipee! And now the CTD gals gave you love RIGHT BACK! Congratulations on your honorable mention! Yipee!
