Good morning! Before I get to my card today I want to share something amazing that happened to me at work yesterday. I teach a Grade 1&2 split. I adore my wonderful class and it makes my job so rewarding when a student has a major breakthrough. One of my lovely Grade 1 boys wrote a wonderful story in his journal yesterday. The most amazing thing to me was that up until yesterday...he had only ever written a handful of words in his journal; not even a complete sentence. So when he showed me his work and read it to me, I had a lump in my throat. Yes, it was a special moment. He shone with pride at my reaction (my eyes welled and I was smiling as he read his story to me). Yep! One of my top 10 teaching moments. Thank you for letting me share!
Today I am thrilled to be Guest Designing for The Card Concept! Originally I was going to design for my newest challenge but after a lot of thought, I decided to focus on my health and to get into shape. I am happy to report I have now lost 18lbs and I do feel so much better. Being a Guest this month is wonderful and I am so proud of my amazing team! Tracey McNeely has been running a tight ship for me and I admire her so much! Thank you Tracey for asking me to Guest with you this month and for being a fantastic Challenge Manager!
I love the crisp look of Lime, Espresso and White! When I chose this challenge (months ago), I was hoping to be able to create a card for it! I thought for sure I would do a St. Patty's Day card but instead I was drawn into the serenity of the colours in the photo and the "sticks" that the cake pops are on. The lines reminded me of the embossing folder I used.
