This card was made for a dear family friend Harry. Harry was an old scotsman, good friend to my dad and just the nicest person in the world. He passed away a few days ago at the age of 80. He told me on my wedding day, three years ago, that the reason is was raining that day was because the sun bowed down to the beauty of the bride...he was such a dear man. I loved him. He leaves behind his wife Jessie, a lovely lady, and so I am sending this card to her. Harry was not afraid to pass on...he was ready to embrace the beauty of the what was next for him. He was looking forward to the journey...like a butterfly on the breeze...
This card is made with the sketch from

Oh Lesley, what a beautiful card for the memory of a beautiful man. I'm sure Jessie will love it.
ReplyDeleteThis post made me cry! What is it about old Scotsmen? My grandmother came over from Scotland so we had many "old Scots" in our family and they had such a way with words--if you could hear them through the brogue! :-) Lovely card Lesley. I'm sure it will be cherished.
