Inspired by All the Little Things & MOJO Monday

Today we have a brand new inspiration challlenge over at Inspired by All the Little Things and I decided to pair the inspired with the sketch at the MOJO Monday Contest! I saw that sketch and fell in love with it! I inked up the large blooms again from Great Friend (Verve) and the sentiment is from Poppy Birthday (Verve). I used Calypso Coral and paired it with a Baja Breeze card stock card base. 

I stamped the sentiment and the foliage in Basic Gray ink...and tried to think outside the box with the sketch. My colour choices come from the inspiration I chose for Inspired by All the Little Things. I could have gone with an airplane themed but I LOVED the colours and decided they would work perfectly for the idea I had using the MOJO Sketch. 

I found an older scallop edge die in my stash of dies and added a white scallop ruffle, to tie in the white in the flowers. Don't look too closely...I fussy cut all the flowers...the flower die for this set is on my wishlist!

Exciting Designing News!

Hello crafty friends! I am beyond excited to announce my amazing crafty news. 

My biggest dream has come true! I am joining the Verve Stamps Design Team as a Designer and as a Design Team Coordinator!

Anyone who knows me or has been following my blog knows that I ADORE Verve stamps! Why? Because the sentiments are lovely, the fonts are elegant and the flower images make my heart swoon!  

One of the first Verve sets that I ordered was the Great Friend stamp set! I was hooked after I stamped with this pretty set! And then I became totally in love with all of Julee's awesome images; especially the sentiments! 



Julee is one of the loveliest and most organized people I have ever "met"! 

Thank you so much, Julee for asking me to join the team! I am completely honoured!

So today is my first day as a Verve Diva and I HAD to use the Great Friend set married with the new sensational sentiment set called Simply Amazing for my Viva la Verve card! On my card today, I watercoloured those flowers and then used my Copic marker-to add some more detail to the flower centers.

SugarSketch #52 {You Make the Grade}

Today we have a brand new SugarSketch over at SugarPea Designs! This week, I was inspired to use the cute stamp set called Teacher's Pet and the dies Zig Zag Stitched Circles and Stitched Flags.

I kept my design simple. The designer paper I used is what inspired me to use the teacher stamp set...the paper looked like a pencil to me!

This month we are thrilled to welcome Patti from Stationery Styles as our Featured Designer!

I’m Patti from Stationery Styles blog.  I am mom to 4, grandma to 6 and wife to the best person I’ve ever known.  We recently moved to the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota and totally love it!!

Since 2010 I have been designer and co-founder of a wonderful little cottage business that makes scarves called neckStyles™.  I love beautiful fabric almost as much as I love beautiful paper.  My DH and I also enjoy travel, photography, cooking and eating! heehehee

I’ve been creating cards for about 19 years and have enjoyed teaching others, in my home as well as in the classroom.

I am so blessed to have been asked to be a guest designer for The Challenge! I look forward to working with the amazingly talented Design Team!! and to seeing cards from talented paper crafters from all over the world in the gallery!  I appreciate the friendships and inspiration this of this great Blogland Community.   I’m so thankful for this exciting opportunity!

For my card, I decided to get out one of my favorite new stamp sets from SugarPea Designs called Funky Wreath Spring Edition. I inked up the flowers in Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo & Old Olive. I used some older SU paper and tried to keep my card very clean. I added some gray twine at the bottom to tie the sentiment in.

Simon Says Stamp {Anything Goes}

Hooray! I have stamped up a storm this weekend! It feel so good crafting in a tidy room! Purging a few older items and doing a big clean up sure helps the card making MOJO!

Today I am sharing a card I made for the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge! The flowers are stamped in Hello Honey SU ink onto white cardstock. I stamped the flowers up the one side...and a little off the edge. Then using some Basic Gray ink, I stamped the sentiment and the foliage. Easy peasy, single layer card!
