Inspired by All the Little Things {Design Team Call}

Inspired by All the Little Things is having a Design Team Call. 


We are looking for 4 card designers to join our team.

Here are the terms:
  1. Make one card each week based on the inspiration.
  2. Comment on the submissions of others. (we will use a commenting schedule)
  3. Post your card and the challenge graphic onto your blog each week.(you MUST have a blog)
  4. Stay on for a 4 month term. 
We are looking for designers who are team players and who take good, clear photos of their work.

No experience is necessary.

To apply please send an email to thepaperplayers @ yahoo.ca (no spaces) and 
put Inspired by Design Team Call in the subject line.

In your application, please include:
  1. A link to your blog.
  2. Attach the photos of three of your favourite cards you have made.
  3. Links to three of your best blog posts.
  4. Tell us a bit about yourself.
Deadline to apply is Friday, March 18th at Noon (PST). I will reply within 48 hours to let you know if I have received your application. If you do not hear from me, please send again.

We will be emailing all successful applicants by Sunday, March 20th.

SugarPea Designs {Sugar Sketch}

Hello crafty friends! It is time for another SugarSketch over at SugarPea Designs! Today we have a brand new sketch for you to try!

Here is the newest SugarSketch!  


Come and play along with us!  The rules are very simple…

  • Create a new card or project using the sketch provided.
  • SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :)
  • You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable.
  • Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: SPDSS44 so that we may check out your beautiful work.
  • One randomly selected winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs store. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $75!
  • We will announce our Sweet Picks and our Main Winner at the end of each month.
  • The more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning!

The Challenge #63 {A Sketch}

Hello and Welcome to Week One at The Challenge! It is the start of a new month and that means we have a sketch for you to try!! I have decided to take this week off from designing.

Hello ... bonjour ... I’m Anita in France ... and I’m blessed to live in beautiful south west France.  I’ve crafted in one way or another since I can remember and got seriously into card making about three years ago, when I started my blog.  My style is mostly clean and simple  … sometimes graphic, sometimes quirky, occasionally whimsical … and at times, there’s a technique or two thrown in for good measure! I’m thrilled and honoured to have been invited to be Guest Designer at The Challenge this month … do hope you’ll have chance to play along with us … I’m looking forward to seeing what you create over the next four weeks!

I have to admit, I did not get around to the blogs this week. With report cards and my nephew's first birthday, my week has been crazy! I am sorry I was unable to comment on all of the submissions this past week.

Inspired by All the Little Things {Romantic Warm Beverages}

Today we have our brand new challenge up on the blog

This is the inspiration photo...

We have a wonderful guest we are showcasing today! I won't spill the beans here...but I hope you will stop by to check out what she did with this inspiration!


I found the inspiration to be quite "romantic" and so I whipped up an anniversary card for my hubby! I used a Jane's Doodles stamp set and did some masking on a single layer card. Then I coloured the image with my copic markers.

I love watercolouring! I got out my Zig Markers and I stamped the images...masking the two tea cups. I wanted to keep my card clean and simple and "send-able".


I also wanted to create a couple more cards for my stash and I went to work creating a Thank You and Friendship Card as well! I love working with rainbow colours!


Who says whipped cream can't be pink!?
