SugarPea Designs {Anything Goes Challenge}

The time has come for a brand new challenge at SugarPea Designs! This time it is an Anything Goes Challenge and I decided to get inky! The time of year has come for Teacher Appreciation cards! This school year has ZOOMED by! I wanted to create a special card for the secretary at my school who is retiring in June. We are happy for her but also VERY sad as she is indispensable! 

 

I kept my design simple and used the Teacher's Pet stamp set which is one of my favourites from SugarPea Designs!

We only have a few rules…

• Play along with ANY stamp you’d like – Winner is chosen at random to keep things fair, but if the winners project features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the voucher to $15
• Feel free to combine our challenge with any other challenge(s)
• Upload to your blog or other online gallery using keyword: SPD15 so we can easily find your work.

The Challenge #31 {An Inspiration Challenge}

Hello and welcome to another week at The Challenge! This week we have an inspiration challenge for you to enjoy! The team have all been inspired in different and unique ways! There is no wrong way to be inspired as long as you can explain how the photo inspired you!

Be inspired by: The Colours, The Theme, The Objects in the Photo or anything else that inspires you about the photo ABOVE.

I decided to make a wedding themed card for this challenge using the Vintage Roses Altenew Stamp set and some stickers from SRM Stickers.

The design team have created some inspiration to get you in the crafting mood! Come and join us! Our weekly winner will be our next Guest Designer! So come and join the fun! Unfortunately both Lee Ann and Nancy are away this week.

Viva la Verve & Simon Says Stamp {Rain or Shine}

I love the weekend when I get to craft! I enjoy playing along with the Viva la Verve sketches each month. This time I was inspired by Sarah Gough's fun sketch. I always struggle with bunting on a card but I wanted to try it! This stamp set is called Rain or Shine and is made by Verve Stamps. I did make another card with this sketch but I couldn't photo it before giving it to my friend for her wedding. Gah! I tried to take the photo off of my Instagram account but alas I cannot get it. So I made another card!

The umbrellas are paper pieced and I used the raindrops in the stamp set to create a whimsical background. I wanted to play along with Simon Says Stamp to create your own background.

 

Viva la Verve & Colour Me {Congrats}

I was inspired to play along with the fun sketch at Viva la Verve and mix it up with the pretty colours over at Colour Me.

The Challenge #30 {A Colour Challenge}

Hello and welcome to another fun week at The Challenge! This week we are excited to bring you a Colour Challenge! Feel free to match the colours as closely as you can! You do not need to use Stampin' Up Colours. All product is welcome and we encourage you to combine this challenge with others. The main idea is to be inspired and to have fun!

I decided to create a Nautical card using some Verve and Stampin' Up stamps! Stamped the sentiment from Verve into a pretty circle design part of the Strong Anchor stamp set! I stamped the background image on the circle in Gray ink with the Stampin' Up set and stamped the ship in black ink. To finish off the card, I added some twine to the bottom. I have changed up my background of my card photos. I love the new look and I hope you do too. It is fun to play!
