SugarPea Designs & The Paper Players

Happy Monday! Todau I am thrilled to be sharing a card I made for the current SugarPea Designs Sketch Challenge! Wendy has a wonderful sketch and I took some liberties with it, so I could used this bigger image. I inked up the image and used my Copics to colour her. She is one of my favourite images from SugarPea Designs. She is from the set called Love You Bunches.

That little puppy is super cute too. I need to make a card just with him. I used some scrap papers from my pile and then kept my card clean and simple. Hopefully it is simple enough for the Paper Players "CAS" Flower Challenge.

Viva la Verve {Mother's Day Blessings}

Happy Sunday. I have enjoyed a restful weekend. Sitting and colouring, while sipping tea of course. I still have this silly cough and sinus problem but at least I got the chance to get crafty!

Today I am playing along with the Viva la Verve Sketch. It is the Week 2 sketch and I loved that it had a tag in it. I found this white tags at M's and couldn't wait to use one. I embossed it with my diagonal striped embossed folder from Stampin' Up and I used some pretty yellow polka dot paper for the background. That paper was the start of my design!

My sister just became a mom last weekend and so I am going to hide this in my stash for her for Mother's Day! I used the Verve set called On Occasion. I stamped the flowers in memento ink and then I coloured them with my Copics. Fussy cut them out and popped them up onto dimensionals. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you had a restful weekend too.

Verve {Birthday Challenge}, FUSION & The Color Throwdown

The Color Throwdown has some pretty colours this week! I couldn't resist playing! I decided to play along with the Verve Birthday Challenge and FUSION as well.

I used an older Stampin' Up set and stamped the flower and the leaves in Memento Tuxedo Ink. Then I coloured the images with my Copic Markers. Then I fussy cut the images, adding them to my gray card base. I inked up my Hero Arts French Script stamp and added a layer of washi vellum tape. It has a lovely silvery hue. I sponged all the sides with my Pumice distress ink. The sentiment is from Verve and is called Birthday to You-Plain.

It felt so good to clean my craft space today. I LOVE a fresh and clean desk!!!

Brighter Days {Verve & Stampendous}

I love the weekend. I wish I was feeling a little better but I must admit I am enjoying some down time today. The craft room has been cleaned and it feels so much better. There are still items to be purged but overall, it got my crafty juices flowing!

After cleaning my craft space, I found this older Stampendous stamp-I believe it is retired. Loved this image years ago when I bought it! So I inked it up in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it with my Copics. I went bright and bold. The sentiment from Verve called Brighter Days seemed to fit the flowers perfectly! I hope you think so too.

PS-A lovely gal (Loralee) left me a sweet comment on my last card (pictured above) regarding the flourish die I used. I must admit, I have NO idea the name or company of that die...that is why I did not list it. Sorry about that! I know that MFT Stamps has a few dies that are similar. Hope that helps! Sorry I cannot email you back, Loralee...I don't know your email address. :)

The Card Concept & FUSION {Thinking of You}

Time has been flying by and I have NOT been crafting. Call it a "slump", call it a "messy craftroom", call it "report cards"...I just could not get inspired to craft! That is going to change...tonight! I have big ideas for tonight. A big clean up (need to find my desk top) and hopefully I will get to play along with some challenges. Before I could tidy up, inspiration hit! I made this card for The Card Concept and for FUSION. Yay!!!

I used one of my favourite Verve sets called "Joyful Blooms". Keeping my colours somewhat neutral, I decided to play with some paper scraps. I have WAY too many! This card came together quickly! I am going back in to make some more.
