Art Impressions Design Team Post

Happy Friday! Hooray! The weekend is near! Today I am sharing a card I made with a small little mouse stamp called Mouse (Sku#F3307) that I just HAD to have! I inked him up with my Copic Markers and then fussy cut him. Isn't he adorable?! I popped him up on a snowflake and added an old sentiment from my stamp collection. This is a retired sentiment...but I thought the sentiment Brrrright (Sku#G3054) would look good with this mouse too!

Did you see the fun challenge we have on? I am entering this mouse card into the challenge...he is cool but also all bundled up!

Come play along by clicking HERE...

Yesterday I shared a card I made for the Feeling Frosty Challenge! I used the Jolly Snowman Set (Sku#4315) and I was happy to ink him up! I wanted to keep my card Clean and Simple...and I used some Lawn Fawn paper for the sentiment...I thought it worked perfectly!

Thank you for stopping by!

Joy to the World {CASE this Sketch & Merry Monday}

Happy Thursday! The weekend is near and there is so much to be done with Christmas on its way! Today I am sharing my design team card for CAS(E) this Sketch! I love being on this team, it pushes me as a card designer! The sketch this week was a toughie for me...I was really struggling but then something happened!

I was making my Art Impressions card for today and I realized that the oval I had used for my main image was too big, so I placed another oval "inside" of the original oval I had cut and voila! I had my oval "outline". So I decided to use an oval outline instead of a rectangle outline! Yay!

I cut my background white and using the "stamping off" technique, I stamped 3 pine boughs in the top corner...I only inked once and then stamped off two more times, to give it more depth. Then I placed the oval on my card but cutting some foam dimensionals into small pieces. Then I stamped the image inside on the main card front. Then I die cut the bird and popped him up in the "tree".

This card took minutes to make...I think about 10 minutes in total!

I used the Verve Sentiment called Every Heart Plain Jane. I LOVE it! Anything with a music reference is wonderful!

Thank You Paper Crafts Blog Hop!

Hello! Welcome to my blog! Today I am participating in the Paper Crafts Blog Hop to thank the lovely team at Paper Crafts Magazine. I was sad to hear of their imminent closing. I have bought the magazine for many years and it inspired me in SO many ways!

Paper Crafts Magazine hosts a competition called "Gallery Idol" every year and in 2013 I was honoured to make the Top 5. I never dreamed that I would be chosen for the competition to begin with and that I would get so far! It was amazing and humbling! Through the competition I learned a lot about myself as a crafter. It gave me a confidence that I had never had before. Thank you Paper Crafts Magazine!

An amazing experience!

Thank you Paper Crafts Magazine and especially Susan, for believing in me and for publishing one of my cards in October, 2014. You will never know how much it meant to me. Today I am sharing a card I made to celebrate Christmas and to send you love...May Your Spirits Be Bright...please know how much you are loved and admired.

Supplies Used:
Inks: Black
Papers: Card Base, Poppy Parade, White, Garden Green
Tools: Spellbinders Poinsettia, Pearl
